Took a 2 point lead with 0.9 seconds left. WOOOO we're going to game 7! And you let Lillard get a wide open 3? And of course he hits it. Unbelievable...
Worst possible way for the season to end. Not an exaggeration. The absolute pinnacle of heartbreak. This team never knew how to close games, they never knew how to defensive rebound, and they never knew how to defend, and it ruined their season.
They thought they're finished...stupid shyt. They need to get rid of McFail and get Jeff Van Gundy..who understand defensive switching strategy. There is no way the entire team just let Lilliard run around without anyone out guarding him
Failure makes champions, not lucky wide open three's.... This may not seem like a good thing but it is.... I promise yall it is for the future of this young team...
the only thing that changed from last year was 4 spots up in the seeding. Same result in the playoffs: 4-2 first round exit.
I am sorry about the loss guys. That's what happens when you lose the first 2 games at home and go down 1-3: everything else has to go perfect. The pain....just remember there are much worse things in life like little kids suffering terminal diseases...that is real pain... Need some perspective in bad times... ps. At least McHale will be fired. A good man, not so good coach.
What a way to finish the game, and round 1.... I hope this is the end of Kevin Mchale as a Rockets coach. We were clearly the better team, but Portland played better and harder. We can't hold on to leads or close out games. We can't defend. It is on the coaching staff.
Throughout the entire series Parsons on Lillard NEVER worked. Okay...so let's go to that again with the series on the line and a last second shot.
Stunned, that's all I can say, the definition of heartbreaker, that wide open shot.... I don't know what to say.
No, this series was MUCH closer than last year against the Thunder. And considering how competitive the West has been during this first round, it wouldn't be crazy to say the Rockets are just as good as any team in the West in these playoffs. That wasn't the case last year.
I hope to god our players don't have this view. This is the exact kind of perspective that leads to no growth. Our team fought hard for this series, they made mistakes, there probably should be a game 7, but that doesn't matter anymore. There is still a pool of positives to look at. Dwight Howard's clutch performance, the growing stability of jeremy lin's game, the emergence of troy daniels, the invaluable experience of what was really a series worthy of a semifinal or even conference final. We are quick to forget that Portland's team has been together for years while ours was largely pieced together in 2 seasons. These rockets impressed me in this game 6, and i respect their performance Doesn't mean i'm still pissed as muthaf**** SCREW YOU PORTLAND!
