Yeah Calvin and Bill were fun together.

When they get a shot of Van's mug, he always has a look on his face like he's thinking that maybe he shouldn't have drank that second qallon of Prune Juice.

Van Chan "The Man" is good with me.

Last night was the 1st time I was able to listen to his color comments. I did enjoy his insights and idea's.

He is fine. He doesn't distract from the game.

I agree, WHAT insight? He basically repeats what we just saw and just happened and adds an obvious blunt why to it.

Calvin had REAL insight, he'd actually make some intelligent comments and analyze plays, even draw up plays that he would do in certain situations that aren't obvious. And you gotta love the times the coach did just as the Murph suggested and proceeded to "What'd I tell ya bill? teehee teehee teehee" lol.
Simply because he was right on the money.

Oh yeah, and that aside, he was immensly more entertaining to listen to when he analyzed and when he joked.

Van is actually a great person. His insight is actually very good. And again, he's a color guy. He just adds insight or commentary to the ply-by-play guy. Van's getting his feet wet but he's doing fine.

Geez yeah...Van is terrible. He doesn't make any insightful comments. I guess I have a high standard for guys, but they should be either very insightful or funny/entertaining AND knowledgeable. Van fills neither void. Calvin filled the 2nd, and he threw in some ridiculous insight here and there.

Man, I was a Van detractor at first, but I have to admit as well that he's grown on me. He has joined Bill Walton as the only analysts that can make me laugh unintentionally. If you dont know what I mean, when he says things like ...

    1. "The T-Mac Man"
    2. "Let me tell ya that right now buddy"
    3. The Rockets need to get it in to Yao and let him skower (score)."

How can you not chuckle at things like that? He's great. I miss Calvin as well though.

I understand what you're saying...and I love Walton for stuff like that (and I think he's actually insightful when he's not messing around...which rarely happens) I guess that's the difference...Van hasn't shown me that side really, and I can't respect him or laugh at his nuances until I respect his other stuff also. For now, he just seems like a big goofball

That's EXACTLY what I was going to post. Anyone who complains about Van should imagine Coop doing it.

I think they should put Lil' Nikko in the booth for the three-man team.

    "Granddaddy, that's a MOVE!"
