"Not 'career driven' or a 'self-starter'" are in the notes I have on him.

LOL. I'm claiming my right, as a member of this board, to one insane mania. I will buy all his posters from the Chinese league.

So, legit question, what's the over/under that Chriss is on this roster come December 20th but not NeNe?

He should have been sent down to the G league to get more playing time. He would have the system down a little more by now. That is all that's holding him back at this moment. He needs to play.

It's still not too late for him to go to G league and get some real PT. He could play a good 10 or so games there and be back for the second half of the season.

He needs a 24 hour a day dose of John Lucas in season and off season to get him corrected

I hope you’re right, but I don’t see it. He looks like a space cadet to me. Stromile Swift without the contract.

normally @Will your posts are like a breath of fresh air in a cesspool of seemingly duplicate threads and re-hashed complaining....this though is way off base. I personally do hop Chriss emerges since it would benefit the Rockets but he got a ton of PT in phoenix and barely improved and possibly you could say he regressed. Having see him play multiple years in the summer league he didn't stand out his second year there when most second year players tend to look noticeably better. You could comment about the developmental staff in Phoenix vs Houston but if he had any personal drive of his own to improve we would have easily seen that by now regardless of where he played.

The Rockets declined his option for a reason and Phoenix was willing to move on from him as well for a reason.

I'm struggling to see any positives in his game whatsoever.

A couple of positives I could see are his 3 pt shooting ability and his potential to be a plus defender and rebounder. All could be improved with more playing time. Whether it be here or in the developmental league.

Kinda sucks cause he has actually great potential, he can run the floor, he's athletic, there's room to improve his shot and his defense...all of this even if his iq isn't exactly great, but his body language says it all, dude just doesn't care, he's just out there cause he's getting paid. I think Nook said he wanted to be a football player or something like that.

This is the "Morey Report" that Morey is sending to other GMs to take Chriss off the Rockets hands. How did you get this Will?

Chriss has bad basketball IQ that cant be fixed. Sell now. Fast.

Chriss will print out and frame OP from this thread so he can look back on it when he's playing in Eurocup in 2 years.

I dislike his perimeter defense. I dislike his post defense. I dislike his ability to switch. I dislike his defensive communication.
I dislike his speed in rotation and coverage. I dislike his footwork. I dislike his hands. I dislike his reach. I dislike his screens. I dislike his ability to roll and finish above the rim. I dislike his ability to shoot from distance.

Also, in general, I dislike when when the willingness to shoot the 3 is mistaken for the ability to shoot the 3.

Being all potential in his third year is a bad sign. He was a 30% shooter from deep in Phoenix on decent volume too so the upside on his range is less than most people think.

He is great as a backup to Clint, then Nene, then the German guy. Then if we are really thin and PJ is too busy to play the 5 he fits right in as the fifth center off the bench.
