The award is a joke...like Best Picture in the Oscars. MJ deserved at least 6 MVPs, as both best player and your definition of MVP.
What makes you think he was innocent? There wasn't even a trial. He was never acquitted. The case was thrown out when the girl refused to testify. That is hardly sufficient evidence in and of itself that Kobe didn't rape her. The girl was receiving death threats. You must think OJ didn't kill his wife too, since he was found not guilty. Sorry to burst your bubble, but sometimes rich people get away with commiting heinous crimes.
Kobe wasn't the best player on the championship teams, is not even the best player of this generation, let alone comparisons to MJ.
I don't hate him like I did Stockton/Malone, but c'mon, he doesn't play for the Rockets... I was talking to this girl the other night and I had to explain how much I hate the Mavs...She likes the rockets, but if the Mavs were the only Texas team in the playoffs, she'd cheer for them and was trying to convince me to do the same...I was like WFT are you talking about...I f'n hate the Mavs...Its like me rooting for the Cardinals and me rooting for the Steelers...It's not going to happen...She gave up...
Kobe really is a bad person. What an outstanding talent!!!! Unreal talent and so consistent! I don't like him, but he is so damned good! The only player I ever really hated was Larry Bird of the Celtics- playoffs in 1986 will never go away. He and McHale ahould be in the crybaby to the referee hall of shame..... Bird was over-rated- Kobe is not over - rated IMHO
