What makes me mad is that I see all these other rooks getting playing time like Joe Johnson, Troy Murphy and producing really nice numbers. We have some really talented rooks that aren't getting a sniff of PT.

I don't care who plays really, as long as the two guards aren't playing 48 minutes a game like they have been. It doesn't really matter if we're 4-1 now, if our guards will have dropped dead by the time the playoffs roll around. I'm sick of this stupid small ball crap -- that's the main reason I want to see Griffin out there.

As far as Griffin shooting 3's, why does Rudy keep running high pick and roll? Kenny Does the same thing and gets the ball in the same f...ed up position. Its more to do with the bad offensive sets also. Joe Johnson is starting and playing well, the celts could have wasted their time with Bryant Stith, but they let him hit the road. I think its enough time in the game where oscar could spell cat, morris rice, and grifffin spell thomas. Instead of playing steve at the 2, that could be Torres, instead of slow ass walt that could be Morris, and instead of bringing in rice or walt to back up the 4 that could be griffin. Its early , but i don't like some of the bs combinations I see.

Im actually not in the least bit surprised. Eddie Griffin has gotten more mins overall this season so far than I expected. People need to realize that Griffin is a 19 yr old rookie that still needs to develop a good bit physically to play consistent NBA minutes. There are complaints that Griffin doesnt post up; tell me how it is possible to get low position against NBA caliber PFs while your still so frail? Anyone who expected Griffin to play a consistent 30 MPG this yr was deluding themselves.

The Rockets are trying to make the playoffs this season and are no longer in a full developmental season like they were two yrs ago after Barkley went down. Teams like Chicago and Memphis are going nowhere so they can afford to play inexperienced rookies big minutes. My guess would be that for the next 2-3 months, the rookies will get increased PT b/c Rudy will want to give them some NBA experience, but after that, Rudy will likely go all vets for the playoff drive.

I'm not impressed with KT at all, he is up and down like the Dow Jones. I see two glaring weaknesses that teams will exploit, power forward and small forward.

Power Forward - KT is only 6'7" and I don't think he can consistently shut down CWebb, Garnett, Vin Baker (don't laugh, he has improved), Rasheed, Brand (has already lit him up) and Dirty Dirk.

Small Forward - Walt/Rice, same person as far as I'm concern little o NO D!. I wish I had a job, where all I did was stand around and wait for a great point guard to pass me the ball to shoot wide open 3's for $5 mil plus per year.

Please sit OscarT down before he hurts himself. It's Tmorris and EG time, let's prepare them for our next championship run.

What do Joe Johnson, Troy Murphy, Richard Jefferson, Jason Richardson, Pau Gasol, Shane Battier all have in common?

Answer the question correctly, and you should understand what the Rockets rookies don't have in common with the list above, and why they aren't getting their minutes yet.

When we are up 20+ or down 20+ in a game and don't see our rookies play, then I'll chime in and say I'm upset too, but not until then. What's the largest margin of victory we have had this season? 6 points. What's the largest margin of defeat? 2 points. We've have 2 overtime games. Rudy T has his own way of bringing rookies along, and he has sold me so far on his matchup arguement. I am very shocked/pleased we are 4-1 so I'm not going to be complaining much about Torres/Morris/EG's playing time.

It's all about matchups. Tmo is a Robert Horry type while Oscar is a Mario Elie/Shandon Anderson type. You'll see Tmo face the taller SF's in the future, and you will see Oscar more when Rudy wants to run a little more with a 3 guard lineup.

I do think EG should be starting though.

This shouldn't be an Oscar vs Tmo debate, they both showed a lot in the preseason and will hopefully get more time to show more of the same in the regular season.

The point to my thread was really that I would like to see Eddie prepared incase KT goes down. Whoever said KT sucked earlier is misinformed or blind. He may be undersized for a PF but he can score and hustles. If he goes down WHO is our PF? Walt? I hope not. Walt's fine in stretches but only in small ones. I'll state what I've stated earlier.....KT has performed as well as Mo T at PF so far this year. Except he rebounds. Almost same point production. Am I wrong here?

I agree that Griff should get minutes, but Rudy plays match-ups. He didn't play in the small ball game in denver. Oh NO!!!!! Rudy should be fired!

Griff actually got quality minutes when we played minnesota because he matched up best with garnett. Don't worry he'll get his minutes we're only 5 games into the season. I do agree with you Bigman that god forbid another injury comes up Griff should have some experience under his belt to pick up the slack, but let's give it some time before we send out the mob.

I do think that Steve and Cat shouldn't play 48 min a night to prevent Iverson type loads, but I think everything will work out fine.
