I don't get it. Pippen sucks. I'm not saying that just because I'm a bitter Rocket fan, I'm saying that because he's got nothing left. Seriously, the guy sucks. He's done...
We've seen first hand already that he's a terrible teammate. Why would we want a cancer like that back again? You're just a glutton for punishment. Or don't you remember his passive, hang-out at the 3-point line game, his dribble the ball of your foot and blame it on your teammates attitude? Especially with young players, Pip is the worst guy to have around; I'd be afraid he did have an influence on the other guys. He can do a lot of things well on the court in the right environment, but he's not a guy who plays the game the right way and behaves as a professional. He's an immature punk crybaby whom the Rockets should distance themselves from as much as possible.
People call Pippen the most hated Rocket. Didn't Mad Max pull a gun or at least threaten Rudy? That was the rumor way back when.
I hadn't heard that. Even if he did do that, I'd still hate Pippen a lot more. In fact, Max is one of my favorites.
Mad Max definitely qualifies as a Rocket Favorite. Even though he left the team like he did when we got Drexler, I will always remember him drilling the game winner against NY, running to mid-court and jumping with his fist pumping, etc. I remember watching that when it happened and losing my damn mind because the Rox were champs...I don't care about the gun incident & all that....When it came down to it on the court, Maxwell was nails. Oh yeah, hell no to Pippen coming back.
Not many people know that after basketball, he became a practicing lawyer in Houston and is a serious DMB fan. He actually posts here a lot.
Jerry West also added Dennis Rodman, Cedric Ceballos, Ruben Patterson, and Nick Van Exel to the team and seriously considered taking Scottie Pippen. <b>People call Pippen the most hated Rocket. Mad Max isn't the most normal guy, and even if he's the most hated, Pippen is number 2. In the end, do you take a guy just because you happen to hate another guy more then him?
He's tried that. A few times this year and over the past couple years he has publicly expressed interest in reuniting with Phil, but Phil knows better than to bring his whiny ass on board without an MJ to keep Quitten in check.
I want nothing to do with Quiten either but saying that he sux is a bunch of crap. Look at Portlands season last year... when Scottie took over the point duties they started winning their games. Scottie Pippen may be hated and will never be a Rocket again but to say he sucks as a player is just plain ignorant.
Well......that's one person's opinion. I guess maybe I'm a grudge holder then. I'd let him weed my flower beds though.
I still remember that game in CHI when Pippen refused to go back in because the play was set up for Kukoc. I respect is talent and accomplishments, but I don't want him back on our team.
Ahh., Somene said exactly what i feel about that overrated biach.... P.s. Mad Max was a true rocket. Maybe insane. But you could never question his loyalty and pride once he was on the court. But definately not most hated. Anyone that can get in MJ's ear, and go after malone to defend his own team mates the way he did is always in my favorites-of-all-time list. One last thing, Signing that biatch would be a slap in Rudy's face.
