I laughed when I read that. Seriously, isn't it a little early to be stocking up on gas if you have obligations the rest of the week.
no it's not to early because the prices will be jumping up as the week goes by. so i suggest yall stock up on gas while the prices are lower.
I read this thread and ran down to HEB where Reg is 2.59 and filled it up. There was lines at every pump. Fortunately, I pulled into a short one and it only took about 10 minutes. Some pumps had 4-5 cars.
There is Shell I pass by on the way home from work, on Beltway NE eastbound going towards Channelview for $2.59 filled my car up last night
granted the hurricane is probably not gonna hit Houston directly, but suggesting to stock up this early creates an avalanche of demand therefore leading to a panic/frenzy and ultimately inflated prices
Exactly...This Run on gas and assumption that the gas supply will be low causes panic...This is similar to the stock market when people lose confidence and sell, sell, sell...
I'll probably go buy supplies and gas on Friday after work... when the stores and gas stations are probably barren What a curse it is to be lazy...
im driving to austin saturday (ACL) morning so I'll probably do the same...go hunting for a station that has gas...
The cost of a barrel of gas went up over 4 dollars yesterday, it will filter down to the gas stations eventually. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/241371_oilprices20.html Also, it's better to wait 20 minutes today than 30-40 on Thursday.
well i've checked the weather religously, not that it's really accurate, but multiple sites have austin as 30% on saturday..
Don't panic...about gas prices that is. As somebody said, when people stock up on fuel like this it only helps the price to rise even further.
