"¡Gillipollas!" gotta agree with Swoly Castellano - Spain's spanish Not an argentinian dialect. However I would say that Argentina's spanish is pretty close to castellano. Also Castellano is not the only language in Spain. Catalan is spoken in the north western part of spain adn is nowhere close to Castellano.

actually, it's not. "castellano" simply means "the language of Castilla, Spain", and is the more precise name for the Spanish language. the language is called castellano in many places, including Argentina of course but also Spain (called castellano as opposed to other Spanish languages like Galician, Catalan, Euskera, etc)
