Great news. But that doesn't mean you still shouldn't consider the lifestyle change....

    That's great news.

I'd still try to get more sleep and food.

Yes Sir. On like Donkey Kong. Charles and Johnny will be the rhythm section. Saturday night 1/28. Zydeco Kitchen at 1300 Broadway (FM 518) in Pearland (near Dixie Farm Road). Come early for dinner...the food is awesome. We start playing between 9-9:30 PM.

And yes everybody....lifestyle changes a'comin' regardless of what caused this. You can't go through something like this without having your eyes opened just a little bit.

    Moderation.....everything in moderation.....oooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Of all the drugs in the world...who'd a thunk sudafed would take you down??

A commitment to eat and sleep more? That should be doable.

    Glad you're back.

My sentiments exactly. I've had alot of time to reflect on the various "substances" I've put in my body over the years, and for a decongestant to be the culprit for this blows me away. Not a commitment to eat "More"...just a commitment to not skip meals or have a bag of chips be my lunch and stupid crap like that. Sleep commitment is for a good night's sleep every night.

I went by the pharmacy yesterday and picked up a copy of the literature they hand out when you fill the prescription for Zyrtec-D. Some of the knowledge nuggets on it include "May cause insomnia" (funny how I've been sleeping 7+ hours a night since I stopped taking it, eh?) and "May cause seizure...if a seizure occurs, contact your doctor immediately".

Gee, thanks guys. Water is indeed wet.

The "Boondocks" strip in today's Houston Chronicle sums up my feelings exactly. I've already clipped it and taped it to my refrigerator:

No kidding, that's the culprit right there!

One note on seizure. When you see someone has a seizure and convulse violently, do not to attempt to restrain that person. Try to remove any potentially dangerous or sharp object from the vicinity so that the patient doesn't get hurt. Self-inflicted injuries are most immediate and common danger that could occur to a seizure sufferer.

Hell yeah. That's what my bandmates did in the studio on Sunday for me. The black eye and facial contusions I have are from falling and from thrashing around on the carpeted floor of the recording studio. While one person made sure I was on my side, the others moved everything out of the way (so I was told). I'm fortunate it happened when it did, instead of two hours earlier, when I was driving alone down I-45 south to Dickinson. There but for the grace of the Lord above go I.
