Wow, RMTex, looks like The Big Guy was watching out for you. Glad that you're okay and can expect good things. Does anyone know why a seizure resulted? I've never heard of that... Welcome back!
I'm in on this too, if y'all can handle me. Glad to hear everythings OK. OK mister. From now on you're going on Fatty's lifestyle: 7 hours sleep. Start with a Meatnormous Omelet Sandwich Lunch at a healthy fast food joint. A deli will suffice. Dinner? Why, as many pork chops as can be consumed, of course. You'll be well on the road to recovery.
Oh great. So this is what I have to look forward to in 10 years... Glad you're alright RT. Listen to some rap music - I hear that helps. j/k. Seriously, stay well, man...
Scary stuff, Tex. I'm glad to hear you are alright. Stay strong on changing your lifestyle and know that you have many people rooting for you.
Dude, you are one lucky man. That is very scary. Doesn't sound like a seizure, though. Sounds more like just passing out from fatigue and hunger. A lot of people mistake that for a seizure.
Do some research on the web and take care of yourself. I did not know seizures were caused from lack of sleep and poor diet. Hopefully its nothing more than that. I had a friend who had a bad seizure, his turned out to be from xanax withdrawal. Take care of yourself.
I hope you never experience that again. I don't know you, but you seem to be a good guy. Good luck on your new journey.
good to hear that you're out and ok, tex. only met you once (and that was for about fifteen seconds after the yao movie), but you and rm95 seemed like a couple of good guys. take better care of yourself, bro.
Thanks for the good words. Yes, the big guy was watching out for me. I need to bump up my donation to the big guy foundation . I've been doing some research since it happened, and apparently, 70% of the time, when a human gets their first grand mal seizure, no cause is found. According to the doctors at the hospital, that is my case. They did a battery of head and neck XRays, EEGs, and an MRI, and found no tumors that would have caused such a thing, and the blood tests all came back fine. All of the data was passed to my regular doctor, who I will be seeing at 4PM today, so let's see if he can shed any light into my situation. He's known me since I was a teenager, and has been my doctor since 1998, so I'm curious to see what he has to say.
From the research I've done, it looks like grand mal seizures can be caused from a number of different things, and alot of it depends on the individual and their lifestyle, habits, etc. All of the data from the tests they did on me at the hospital was passed on to my regular doctor, who I will be seeing today at 4PM. He's known me a long time (knew me from before I was his patient) so I am curious to see what he has to say.
