I just got laid off!!!

Do they usually give you a severance package if your fired? I've never heard of such a thing.

 

You can be laid off without your position being eliminated... people get laid off all the time because they find folks that will do the same job for less money and fewer benefits.

But if he worked for a recruiting company, most of them are straight commission, so it really wouldn't matter how much he makes. The more money he makes, the more money he brings into the company.
