Garage sale. $40 for the whole deal. Mizunos and Spaldings, which doesn't mean much to me outside of baseball gloves and basketballs. I called a golfing buddy who said essentially that I can't go wrong for $40 on a full set of clubs.

    How'd I do, y'all?

the clubs don't make the golfer, the golfer makes the club.

    j/k, no clue.

It's not about the clubs, but how awful your pants are.

I don't know, but Mizuno makes really good blades (for golfers way better than me), and they are quite expensive new. I'd guess that those irons are worth a lot more than you paid for them.

    The set contains:
    Drivers: 1, 3, and 5 (Spalding)
    Irons: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 (Mizuno)
    Sand and pitching wedge (Mizuno)
    Putter (Don't know the brand)

The clubs (faces and grips) are all in good condition. In fact, it looks like it's barely been used at all.

I guess maybe all the posters who might know anything about golf clubs are out golfing. It's a damn nice afternoon.

Thanks. If I took a closer picture of a particular iron (face? back? both?) would that help your analysis?

I'd say that's a really good buy. Mizunos are nice, especially if forged. They might be a little hard to hit for a beginner though.

Not me. I barely know my own clubs. You might be able to find something here, though: http://valueguide.pga.com/

Now that you have golf clubs, you're going to need a second, secret cellphone if you're dating p*rn stars behind your wife's back.

Your friend is right. You can't go wrong with a $40 set of clubs. The bag itself is worth more than $40.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. Truth be told, I've always been good for about 9 holes, and then I get excruciatingly bored and I'm ready to go home. I've been thinking I need to give it another chance, so hopefully my own clubs will help. If not, $40 is no great loss.

the clubs aren't great to be honest but for a beginner, anything will work. all golf clubs do basically the same thing. you can learn the golf swing with these clubs and then get new clubs later on.

For 40 bucks you got a "good" deal in the sense, you got a full set for that cheap.

However, they probably arent worth too much more if I had to base it on the pictures. Mizuno are nice clubs, but are hard to hit for new golfers. These clubs are probably 10 years old if I had to guess.

    Enjpy!

Those golf clubs were probably used in an enema orgy.

    Enjoy!
