When i'm on the bus I follow my etiquette: * acknowledge the bus driver with greeting *sit on the back of the bus *always get window seat *carry bags on lap *ring stop bell as soon as possible in accordance to location wanting to stop *tell person sitting next to you when you are getting off before ringing bell *thank the bus driver I'm a good boy Major pet peeve: person sits in aisle seat when window seat is free; pretty much obstructing the aisle. I noticed lot of people saying sorry when they touch person sitting in aisle seat. However, i know i can't do **** about it so forget about it
There WAS A TIME I was on a Greyhound bus, ONLY 1 SEAT LEFT, but with a man's huge bag in the seat. And after I asked politely and told him it was the only seat left, he did NOT WANT to move his bag to let me sit there. For NO REASON at all but just to be stubborn I cursed in his face, was gonna THROW DOWN on that joker. The bus driver pulled me out the bus to cool off, I was pissed. But LUCKILY a lady made some room for me and settled things. She had had a seat blocked with lots of bags too but she actually made room and put some of the bags in the bottom baggage bin. (She was a VERY BIG lady too bless her heart. Sitting next to her, still had "room issues" in that seat) But she was very kind. So there can be some inconsiderate assholes out there like that. For the most part you just ask kindly and they'll move it
When I would ride the bus I would normally put my bag on the seat next to me because the floors were usually filthy. Not that the fart stained seats were much better -- At least they weren't sticky. If someone needed a seat I put my stuff on my lap. If there were no seats and a woman or older folks needed to seat I would immediately stand up and offer my seat. All it takes is manners.
While yes there are some inconsiderate assholes who put their bag on a seat and refuse to move it. This ****ing stupid ass tumblr is just trying to paint people as assholes without them actually being assholes. Look at all the seats available in those pictures, not to mention if anybody asks somebody to move their bag they'll probably do it.
I put my stuff there also if there are seats still available. The only thing I hate is when there aren't any seat left and the person taking up the space with their bags are not letting an elderly sit. But that blog look like it's coming from the TTC from my city Toronto.
