Jalen Rose outplayed Kobe Bryant in the Finals, so to say Bryant is the 2nd best player in the league during these playoffs, when he wasn't even 2nd best on the court in the last series, is going a little far. David Robinson was better in these playoffs. Karl Malone was better. Rasheed Wallace was better. Chris Webber was better. Gary Payton was better. Did you watch any other teams play?

Nobody is beating the Lakers anytime soon, at least in the West. Nobody in the West is anywhere near the Lakers level, and won't be for another 3 or 4 years. But the people who are saying the Lakers aren't a dynasty are being hypocritical. They blew huge leads, well guess what the Rockets 2nd championship team was a 6 seed and had to go the limit in 2 series to win it all. The Lakers went 15-1 in the playoffs, and became the only team to go undefeated on the road in the postseason what else do people want? And comparing them to the Bulls and saying they would get blown out is silly. What's to say that the Rockets teams wouldn't have lost to the Bulls? Or that the Bulls would have lost to the Pistons? This team is a dynasty, you may not like them, but they are. Lets give them their respect. The same way people are disrespecting the Lakers championships are the same way we're getting tired of fans like the Utah Jazz fans disrespecting our titles. They're a dynasty.

The lakers are soft? No killer instinct? What is everyone watching? The bulls would rout the lakers in a 7 game series? Based on what? I'm tired of all these people on MJ jock. Last time I rememeber the Bulls they never routed anyone. I rememeber jordan winning a lot of games at the last second, is that dominance? In their 6 championships how many teams did they sweep? Especially in the Eastern conference which was still weaker than the western even back then. Its obvious that we have a lot of laker haters on this board, but to call them soft or already peaked(WTF?). Talent is only with 2 people? Does anyone know what a role-player is? HEEELLLLOOOO? Last time I looked it wasn't shaq or kobe hitting those 3s that killed the sixers or the spurs or the kings, etc.(well maybe a few from kobe) I'm sorry the bulls were great, but they just won(mj was great at doing what ever it took to win games, close games at that)...the lakers destroyed the other teams and won. 15-1 in the playoffs? But why are we comparing? IF you really want to see MJ vs the lakers just wait till next season and see, according to Doug collins today he said MJ broke some ribs on his way "trying to get back in shape to 'see' if he could make a come-back" yea right. He is coming back.

The Spurs were supposed to be a dynasty too. Every NBA season is different. What happens if next year Fisher starts briking all those miraculous threes, and Horry is kicking back in Houston?

No team is officially a dynasty until they win their third in a row. The Rockets were not a dynasty, and neither are the Lakers. Not yet.

C'mon Z. The Rockets were a dynasty. However, the Lakers have to win three to be a die-nasty.

I guess it depends on what your definition of dynasty, is.

I don't mean to doubt Jordan, but I don't think that he will be the same Michael, and he will tarnish his legacy by coming back. There is no way that a team with him, Barkley, Ewing or Olajuwon, and 2 youngsters are going to win the championship next year.
Now if Jordan was 4 years younger, it might happen, but after a 3 year layoff? If he pulls it off, he will truly be the greatest athlete of all time by far.
