I'm not wishing it but it's always possible that the Warriors lose a star to injury. They cakewalked to the title last year thanks to their opponents' injuries.
We could have stolen two more games from them last year, so anything is possible once you get in the playoffs. #IBELIEVE
At the end of the day, even if this season was completely perfect, we likely would still have had to gone through this Warriors team. Well, we get that chance now. It is just a lot earlier than most of us thought before the season began. There is no negative to this at all. Some people place too much emphasis on a draft pick. That's for Morey to figure out. As a fan, I am ready to watch some playoff basketball.
You're right why not the Warriors? IMO it didnt really matter who the Rockets faced in the first round their play all year hasnt inspired much confidence that they can beat any other playoff team in the league in a best of 7. But yeah "new season, miracles can happen, cup half full, she looked wayyy hotter last night ..." it would be the biggest upset in NBA history and maybe even sports history. From what I've seen from this team they dont have the heart to make that happen. Hope I'm wrong (yes I'll be ready for the told you so's, bandwagoner etc..)
Yeah it makes no difference. This is a good storyline anyway. The bizzaro Rockets, full of talent but wildly inconsistent. On the other side, the best regular season team in NBA history. Rematch of last year's WCF in the very first round. Last year's MVP vs last year's runner-up MVP. I don't care if we get swept. I have no expectations. At the very least it'll be interesting.
considering we lose a 2nd round pick if we had gotten the 7th seed, I'll take GSW and the ABC treatment of game times. Why not? 6th seed was very close, too. That's a different story.
