Damn right. We deserve a game where there is more hope for the future. Sports works best when it is cyclical. You're up for a while...and then there are a few lean years...then you rebuild. The lower half of the teams in baseball can't even afford to rebuild in a meaningful way anymore. It has to change. If no agreement is reached, expect the owners to open up tryouts and never deal with the union again. See how long it takes the players to come back (with a busted union). It will prove out that the players would have been better off if they had just accepted the owner's proposals.
