Can you guys leave your stupid as b**** fights, hurt feelings and being stuck in the past for one f....in thread about T-Mac? If you don't have anything constructive to say about his playoff run this year then stfu up and go to another thread. I wish some mod would delete posts that have nothing to do with a thread topic.

Naw, but it just annoys the hell out of me how every thread about ATL or T-Mac turns into a b****fest and things that happened years ago and have nothing to do with the current season.

I'm not sure what any of that has to do with the screw-job he got from the Rockets.

But, that's alright. Whichever. I just don't like to see posters throwing around accusations at McGrady here as if Rockets fans are all of one mind in hating on the guy. He was a great player, he always raised his game in the playoffs, and it was unfortunate what happened to his health. He deserved better.

You're right. Sorry. tmac is doing surprisingly well this season. But he still doesnt deserve a ring and he will not be the reason why the Hawks advance. That depends on a player named Josh Smith.

The notion that tmac is a major part of the hawks success is like saying battier is a major part of the heat's success.

    He deserved what he got.

Were you in a coma during that season when he got traded to the Knicks?

He came back and was b****ing about playing time to Rick. Even Webber said that coming off surgery he needed limited time.

The Rockets had enough of him and he had enough of Rick and the Rockets.
He went to New York, had one or two good games to start, then he went DNPing again. THUS PROVING THE ROCKETS were right.

This bridge burner was making 23 million that year. Say what you want about the Rockets, but he left at the perfect time.

Tmac getting past first round in Hawks is like Richmond getting championship in Lakers. It's irrelevant.

He doesn't deserve anything. Bad attitude, wasted talent.

He made rockets basketball exciting for a few years. Gave us a 22 game winning streak. He played his ass off in the playoffs. He got hurt and he just wasn't the same player. No reason to hate on him.

This is the truth. But some people just can't handle the truth.

Coma, no. I was looking at what was going on while you were reading Darryl Morey's press releases. All that stuff about wanting playing time and how he performed for the Knicks, etc, all happened after the microfracture surgery, so it's irrelevant to the fact that the Rockets made him play on a bad knee. Yes, microfracture is hard to come back from, and it has effectlively ended the careers of many good players, including McGrady's. But, maybe we wouldn't have gotten to the point of McGrady getting his own doctor and opting for microfracture without the team doctor's input and Sterning the midseason trade if the team had taken his knee trouble more seriously and proactively done something to protect the career of their best player. But, we don't know how that would have turned out because Morey wanted to pretend like no problem ever existed.

I don't blame McGrady one jot for looking out for himself -- both in the surgery, and afterward as he was trying to rehab from his injury and resurrect his career -- because the Rockets made it clear they didn't have his interests at heart. So, the Rockets were proven right about what? That he wasn't yet ready to play again? That after his surgery he was a net-liability to the team? Sure, but I'm not complaining about how or why they traded him; I'm complaining about how they dealt with his injury before he got surgery. If there is a question of who got their just desserts, I'd say it was Morey who got what he deserved for pissing away his best asset.

Wow, you're honestly saying the Rockets "made" Tmac do something he didn't want to do? Tmac has always gotten his way when it came to playing time...hell when he came back from his surgery they didn't want him to play at all, but gave in because he was demanding it. Once again, he was wrong about his condition and LIED to everyone about his health...again...

In his recovery from offseason surgery (before the microsurgery) he came back when he wasn't ready (just like after micro surgery) and had to leave...the Rockets didnt' MAKE him do it...cmon man. After that he left the team for awhile to recover and made that silly video saying he was back to his old self only to be wrong AGAIN about it...LOL, but the Rockets "made him", really?

I have to agree with Tinman and wonder if you were in a coma...

Should I post all of clutch's articles so these people can see the truth? Tracy's downfall with the rockets was well documented here by #1

Maybe you should, apparently there are a lot of folks who think the Rockets organization made Tmac's poor decisions for him. Poor Tmac was the victim and had no say, what so ever, about his choices during his career...

    ^^...
Just change the title to "T-Mac b****fest" and it is better suited every time a new McGrady thread pops up and goes past page 1. It's annoying, why are no mods stepping in?

So can there be no middle ground that TMac made bad decisions and we don't have to hate him and deride him until his career ends?
