Abdur-Rahim minus the ball-handling but with better defensive skills. It remains to be seen if Eddie will improve his ball-handling, though. BTW, there are some who say that Eddie is really 6'8" (WOOHOO, he's a whole inch shorter than his listed height !). But from the pictures I've seen with Eddie shaking hands with Stern at the podium, Stern's head seems to come just under Eddie's shoulders, as it does Kwame Brown's. And considering his body style (long and gangly limbs, HUGE feet and hands) and age (19), I wonder if Eddie has stopped growing or if he's actually TALLER than his listed height (6'10", maybe). Just a thought. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Live (edited June 29, 2001).]
Ok, for all that posted what type of player they think he is, now tell me how many times you saw him play last year, seeing that SH was on TV soooo many times last year. ------------------ In the end there will be no judges...only witnesses to my greatness.
I spent 5 months up in Lake Tahoe during skiseason....plenty of time in Harrah's and Harvey's sportsbooks. ------------------ Everybody has a little bit of Watergate in em - Billy Graham [This message has been edited by hardwood (edited June 29, 2001).]
I saw him 3 or 4 times last year. Offensively, He posted up alot nad had some VERY NICE inside moves. He had a one handed right hand hook shot that looked kinda like Othella's, and in the post, he would face constant double teams but would find a way to find Dalembert on the weak side or Shine open on the three point line(didn't mean for that to rhmye ). He was a good outside shooter and could bury the jumper all the way out to the NBA 3 pt line, for the most part, but he took a couple 3 pointers that he didn't need to (kinda like he was trying to proe to people that he could shoot it). He was a decent ball handler. On defense he's a monster, as he and Dalembert absolutely shut down the inside with blocked shots that would lead to fast breaks once in a while. Thats my evaluation, and iI'd have to say on offense he is Rahim and on Defense he's Tim DUncun. Thats my take on him ------------------ One of the newest members of the New Jersey Nets fan club.
The first thought I had was Tim Thomas but I don't really know anything about Griffin since I haven't seen him play. ------------------
Kevin Garnet. This kid will be able to do it all. ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley
