Watching other rebuilding teams the best would be 2-4 years.

Then it should hopefully be in the 6-9 range rather than the 10th.

The West is competitive enough.

 

Us making the play in this year is a mistake that will hurt us if we don't at least try one more year to get the #1 overall pick and get Victor.

People who have other expectations are actually the only ones in their one way of enjoying this rebuild. The rebuild is going well, based on the talent we are getting and no poor attempts to rush anything given our 3-year window to accumulate talent through the draft. Just enjoy the ride

 

I legit think we can. And I’m mad at myself for not putting a bet on Rockets to make playoffs while I was in Vegas last month. I mean the betting odds would have been great.

question: I bet a friend we’d make the playoffs. He passed but sent the bet to another friend of ours who said he’d take that bet. I said great, but to clarify the play in game counts as making playoffs.

should it? It’s clearly the “post season.” If classify anything “post season” as part of the “playoffs.” But he dropped the bet when I cleared that point. He’s a Mavs fan.

for the record the play-in doesn't classify as actual playoffs to me. it's a gimmick chance to actually make the postseason for 8 teams in the conference. they're not actually in it. but that doesn't matter in this case when they won't make the play in anyway

 

I’d swap us with the blazers and put the Kings ahead in the win column. Which I guess means we’d be in the bottom 4 in the west.

I think this is more realistic.

 

I get the optimism. I am more stoked about this coming season than I have in 5 years or more.

But I think many are seeing our players in terms of their potential, not where they are at. Nor, likely where they will be at for this coming season.

Years I think before we see the team we keep imagining.

 

I really don’t understand where everyone gets the Rockets won’t be trying to compete. Tanking for a third year in a row? For a slim chance at another unicorn? For scoot? The team is full of very talented guys that don’t like to loose. I see the Rockets competing for a play-in spot. Every comment from every member of the team is wanting to win more games. 1 more year of tanking so that you loose a few players in free agency?! You can’t keep everyone…come on. Stop listening to the media. They have an agenda. That’s lebron, Steph, Greek freak and Joel. The Rockets will play with the grizzlies mindset from a few years back. Book it.

 

Not about just having the first pick. Even if we get pick 4 or 5, that’s still much better then pick 10 or 11. Why hurt our future for meaningless wins
