harden lost to the warriors in 2019 in 6 games but lillard got swept 4-0 by the same warriors team in the very next round. And I believe lillard and harden both made 1st team all-nba in 2019. For whatever reason only harden got smoke for losing to the warriors and harden unlike lebron and lillard was never ever swept by the warriors
IDK all of your points are around the roster not being good enough, Harden spent 1.5 years trying to desperately get back to the same guy who built those rosters for nearly a decade. Wonder why he would do that if he felt he was incompetent. The closest he came to winning he screwed up, by not figuring things out w CP3. That team was very very good, something happened, and I think that is completely on Harden. Him pushing CP3 out and requesting the Westbrook trade ruined his best chance to compete, he would have had 2-3 more years to compete here, instead he let his ego get the best of him and then he forced a trade out of here as well leaving us with a bad westbrook contract. You can blame the roster mismanagement all you want, but it really came down to the CP3/Westbrook trade which significantly altered Hardens chances of winning, that one move did it. Morey said we were increasing our risk profile, then went and got CP3, it actually worked, Harden threw a fit, and then we had one last desperation hand to play, and it was the Westbrook trade. It was going all in with someone elses money for James, and once the hand was a bust, he picked up and left us the massive debt from his gambling. One thing I realized watching several hundred games of James Harden, is that he is a very smart player, but I think in his mind he is Lebron or CP3 level smart, but he is not. I have seen him on the bench disagreeing with players about plays more than any other super star the past several years. This is what I think has held him back in the playoffs, he thinks hes ready and knows what to do, but he really is not on that level when it comes to playoff basketball. I have seen him in playoff disagreements with point guards over this, we saw it w CP3 and the hand slap, we saw it last year w him going off on Maxey. He even complained about Kyrie and it was a primary reason he left Brooklyn. He was gifted Prime Dwight Howard, KD, Westbrook, Kyrie, Embiid. You can blame him not being the same player from usage, but Lebron had high usage and went home to his family and puts himself in a hyperbaric chamber every night, got a driver to reduce stress on his legs, personal chef, etc. Harden spent his 20s constantly taking separate flights from the team plane so he could get drunk in Vegas for 12 hours and party. This is the same guy who admitted he stayed up all night and skipped practice because he wanted to hang out w Lil Baby in the studio. We don't hear stories of Lebron, Steph, Giannis, being out at clubs all night and throwing people's phones on the roof and wrestling things away from people at clubs.
Didn’t lillard get swept in a year curry missed most or all of the series? He’s ultimately not good enough to take that kinda heat
lol I guess if you are looking for partial credit, but…. They are still very much in play for a 3-4 seed. Booker being hurt has been their biggest issue, which wasn’t factored into your prediction. You got the CP3 age/injury thing. Not sure there’s been much owner/coach/player dysfunction.
not a single team in the West is above .500 on the road right now kinda crazy to think about what’s also kinda crazy is that Boston is killing it right now with the best record in the league at 31-12 and the highest point differential at +6.1, but Harden had that 16-17 squad at 31-9 at 1 point with a +7.7 point differential, and we were the 3rd best team in the West
And the East is winning the interconference records for the first time in I don't know how many years.
Just gonna ignore that only two of their players have played in all games this season and that both Booker and CP3 missed 14+ games each? That's not what your prediction was about at all.
CP3 missing games is not a valid excuse. He always misses games, that's a given. Also, he always starts getting whiny and getting on his teammates' nerves in his second or third season, shows up in worse shape after getting bounced in a tough playoff series. True in LAC, HOU and now Phoenix. That's classic CP3 since the day he entered the league. That bum cost us a title with his brittle hamstring and then showing up like vegan Fat Albert the following season.
Resisted joining hands with buddy Lebron for a gimme.... bonus in my books. I can only guess... After that rant you hug Jalen Green's left nut...
Suns were play in bound before the trade. Obviously if they had KD from the beginning, they wouldn't be a play in bound So whoops on you bruh lol. You were wrong Damn, I did amazing Everything I said was valid besides the Kings surprising folks I'm good. Thanks for the bump bruh
Do wut? As of today before Durant has played a second they have the 4th best record in the West(8-2 in their last 10)with Booker missing a boatload of games(that wasn’t part of your prediction). Prior to his injuries they had a top 3 record in the West and he is now back from his injury. In what world were they play in bound outside of Booker getting hurt again?
