I was listening to 610, and I will bestow upon you all the knowledge that they gave me.

Van Gundy's game plan is considered one of the most complicated. There is so much to absorb and know, and it takes a high "basketball IQ" to absorb it and put it to good use, and this is why the Rockets organization tends to seek smarter players. But there are two players on the Rockets who stand out among the rest of the roster as brilliant in this regard. Tracy McGrady and Chuck Hayes.

i think i scared all the people who live on my hall by poking my head out the door and shouting "I LOVE CHUCK HAYES" at the top of my lungs....

on a night when we shoot poorly, we need more posessions to make up for it. Chuck singlehandedly created 6 possesions through offensive rebounds and a couple more through steals, drawing charges, and diving on the floor and getting loose balls he had zero business getting. They should have a stat for posessions created given that, particularly in playoff basketball, the posession is the ultimate asset...chucky might lead the leauge.

oh, and best opening post ever.

Shane and Juwan are both very smart, but Shane and Chuck are the perfect role players. I really love our team!

Hayes is the man. He still makes some stupid fouls, which next season he will cut down and get more PT and be even more effective. Next season he will also be getting even more passes from McGrady, and I trust his layup ability will get better. That has been a weak point too. That said, I love Chuck Hayes! (Here sure took Ryan Bowen right out of a job, didn't he?) I'm still amazed how his height almost never is a factor. Keep your fire, Chuck!

Great first post, by the way!
