Yeah, but **** him for intending to get that reaction.

Yeah, he got that reaction out of me, but I wasn't happy and touched that a movie grabbed me like in Shawshank Redemption or Homeward Bound (a happy dog movie that, when younger, also cried in for good reasons). I was literally pissed. I wanted to punch someone. I just found that part of the movie unnecessary.

Did you ever see the Hills Have Eyes? The rape scene was horribly unnecessary. That's how I felt about Sam dying. It didn't need to be in the movie, and the movie was worse for its inclusion.

It was something that pissed me off. I liked the article. Dogs are great animals and a lot of people love them.

So while you listen to your Panic at the Disco, yell at your dad, die your hair black with a little red stripe at the front, watch anime, talk about cultural dependency, go against the norm for the sake of it, cry yourself to sleep, torture small animals, wear your thick framed glasses, write dark poetry, wear really tight t-shirts and jeans with converse all stars and a spiked belt, yell at your dad some more, and whine about your heartache, I will be outside with my dog.

Surprising. I'd save a human stranger amidst traffic before my own dog. Just seems illogical to work the other way.. but I also can't fault your thinking.

Yikes. Dude, movies are a form of escapism. I get to see stuff that I would never see in reality for 2 hours, good or bad. That's what makes it entertaining though, isn't it? That you can walk away from it knowing it's not real? Just enjoy the roller coaster ride. And look around at the people sitting next to you at the movies. They aren't all emo's.

Maybe you should stick to Disney movies from now on. But don't watch Bambi. Just trust me on this one.

i think you need to blade yourself a bit more.

Did you have a bad experience with a dog as a child?

I was visiting these people who had a rottweiler who was a family pet and "would never harm a soul" and that dog chased me down and ripped a chunk out of my leg when I was 8 years old, took 5 stitches, I still have the scar.

On the other hand, I had a border collie when I was older who I trained to play fetch. I did love that dog.

Some dogs are cool, most dogs I do not like and do not understand the fuss over them.

Is that a typo? Seems like "chunk out of my leg" would require more then 5 stitches? Just wondering.

I thought his dog's death was a very important part of the movie.

well it was a small chunk. I think he kind of just sunk his teeth in and left with a bit of flesh. I used to press on it and it was soft, kind of like a baby's head.

I would say it comes down to the fact that you are afraid of dogs. If you get over your fear, then maybe you will allow yourself to see them in a different light.
