Surprised to see @Clutch liked the OP. He must have known that Ariza didn't check CF like Terrence Williams.
If I had a time machine, I would go back in time and not bump this thread, thus preventing you from suffering disappointment. (i’d also check winning lottery numbers prior to going back in time)
I am not surprised. Clutch, like many of us did not like the usage of Ariza in his first go round in Houston. The Rockets experimented and tried to make Ariza do things out of his comfort zone. And the results were terrible. It just wasn't in him. Ariza's second go round with the Rockets they just put him in his role player 3/D role and he flourished in that role. It is all about "role."
I think this is because when we converted to the new software, it converted rep to likes. It did that for negative rep as well.
IIRC we just wanted to replace Artest and Ariza was a good target. The superstar talk was probably a ploy to get him here. The coach determines how players are utilized.
Maybe he wants to continue to form a 3 points shooting team. There is still a big problem for center and power forward. Hr should find a all star level player in those positions
