Excellent response, and I'll rep you for the clarification. What you refer to, the hand/eye coordination facet of Trevor's game, is dead on. It is severely lacking. I'd like to respond further to your post, in reference to getting "in the zone", but I really believe you should start a separate thread for it. Not so much that it's non-topical here; rather, that it is a discussion worthy of its own thread. Trev will very rarely get into that "zone" for many reasons (some of which you articulated very well).
Thanks! My first rep. Being "in the zone" is a very interesting topic for me and I will try to discussion it further when I can dedicate some time to it. I never understood it during my intense B-ball playing days--when only once or twice a month I would find myself in the "zone." I started to understand the phenomenon only in recent years, when it was tied to workplace productivity in some of my leadership seminars. One tidbit for now: If you are in the "zone" and you "think" about being in it, you will lose it-- it has to initiated and maintained subconsciously.
I tend to think it's possible for him to make the next step to be honest. I know he isn't there yet, he seems a little awkward at times, but it doesn't seem to me that he has ever really been asked to do this much. I just think, let him digest all this, and do what needs to be done to take it to the next level. I just kind of feel that giving up on him after half a season isn't right. Great post by the way.
Those pretty alley oops from Brooks to Ariza and vice versa were nice to see, as was their evident camaraderie towards the end. It gave me a feeling of relief to see that some of the speculated dislike that was purportedly between the two; seems there's hope for team chemistry post Ariza acquisition after all.
Eager to see a new topic about this it's correlation to your playing days and workplace productivity. Sounds interesting.

It is hard to say it is ever one player's fault... but when one player shoots as Ariza did tonight and one player's team only lost by less than 10 points...................................................................... it is as close as it can be to being one player's fault.
He sucks, count me in, I wanted to give him an entire year but I just can't. He sucks at the game of basketball. 1. He can't shoot 2. He can't dribble 3. He can't pass - they are always a half second behind 4. He can't defend one on one. Why is he starting for us when he only started 20 games last year for the Lakers? Daryl Morey, I love you man, but you flat out nutted it up on this one....Trevor for 5 more years.....ARRRRRGHHHHHHHH ! DD
Ariza sucks Shaq's ass. He's only been here for half a season and I can honestly say without a doubt that I have never hated another Rockets player more than a hate him. He makes Rafer Alston and Ron Artest look like the most efficient players in the league. Hey Ariza, get the hell out. I hope Morey can find a team to take him in Tmac's package, but I doubt even he can pull that off.
We need to do something about it. How we have a 24-19 record with him as a starter is beyond me. He has the size, the athleticism and all the tools to become a great player for us....I really wanted him to improve as the season went on but that doesn't seem to be the case.
DD, after watching the Bulls would you have done the tmac for bulls package rumored? also, battier is showing his age. I know ariza has low IQ but man is battier aging before our eyes, along with scola. That starting unit is sllooooowwwwww.
