They went to him and he either chunked up his usual crappy hook shot or got fouled and missed his free throws. This has been Dwight ALL SEASON. The guy is not a go to player yet he is paid the max dollars. Why is no one calling him out?
I'm saying that because he wasn't the problem. He didn't have a Hakeem-like game. We have been getting destroyed in the playoffs on defense for 3 series now. We've given up I think 112.5 ppg in the playoffs against a Dallas team w/o Parsons (and basically without Dirk) and a Clipper team pretty much without CP3. We got destroyed by LA last year who hasn't done much of anything in the playoffs outside of the series against us. It just sucks.
Not mutually exclusive. Being fans of both players and the organization. Your point that you have to be fan of either player and of the ballclub is not valid.
I don't disagree with this. I just think it's hilariously ludicrous that in a game where the Rockets gave up 124 points in 48 minutes, there are people who's biggest issue is with Harden perceived lack of "fire".
I was a Hakeem fan even when he donned that Canadian Raptors uniform? So what. He sure was not winning anything for the Canadians.
This is where we really miss guys like beverly and dmo. We have some extremely redundant pieces on our roster at the moment. I love prigs enthusiasm but he's just flat out too old especially when you already have Terry on the roster. Dmo terrence jones and josh smith are also just redundant when we have no legit back up center. Blame Harden all you want but Morey said it best when he said this team would be nothing without him. Dwight is pouring his heart out but the fact is this team is no longer built around him. We need another pg badly that is not 100 years old. Les open up your wallet because unless we get a legit roster you are wasting both the Rockets fans money and the players' chances of winning a ring. I didn't expect this team to win both games in L.A. but Harden does need to prove that he can be a double edged sword this next game. We can not beat the clippers playing their game. Make them try to beat ours which is what we did game 2. We look acared of these guys and that's inexcusable.
I don't know about other fans but Sizzle if your leader comes out with that fire in his eyes. That tends to be contagious more often than none. I agree with you, there were a lot of things that went wrong in this game. Defense being the #1 issue. We look lost on defense and the offense is not running smoothly. There is no ball movement. It's like they are out there playing street ball.
yep and lots of embarrassment to go around on this bbs with the hate and implosion after 1 game and now just down 2-1. whether the rockets lose or win it's clear a good majority of you have already lost at life.
good...but what team will you root for though? I guess in heaven your team can lose as you hoped, you can be right, somehow still get the girl, and still win the title for losing.
Team looks terrible on defense. ****ing big baby was getting open drives to the basket. Harden hasn't been great, but honestly if our other players can't hit open shots what can he do when he's condtently being shadowed by a help defender. We need a second ball handler and someone we can trust to actually hit an open 3.
