Sure ain't! BUT. When Championship-run Hakeem trusted his teammates to get the job done, they didn't let him down.
Looking back at those teams they were so much better than they appeared at the time... Horry, Cassell, Otis, Maxwell, Kenny, Mario...
First thing that comes to mind when you name those players, in order: SEC, juco, traded, kicked off team, gave HIMSELF a nickname that doesn't even fit, the JET? lulz, CBA They were Gods.
Jimmy Butler took over the game yesterday. Chris Paul took over the game yesterday. James Harden has never taken over a game in the 4th quarter of a playoff game
Chris Paul looks like a clutch god because we choked. Usually, he's the one choking. So he needs to be quiet. I still expect him to choke tomorrow.
hey @vlaurelio can you help me out @TheRealist137 says harden has never taken over in the 4th quarter of a playoff game as a rocket and @durvasa agrees with him
No, I just expressed surprise that the example you came up with about him taking over in the 4th was 8 seasons ago. I'd love to see someone point out more recent examples when he's the team's number 1 option.
Paul has been clutch in all 3 of their wins this series alone. CP3 also gave us a signature win in his short stay here. Still waiting for the “Harden game”. 2018 short handed Jazz were on the brink of extending the series to 6 and heading back to Utah ..... if not for CP3 going ham and closing the series out. CP3 dropped 20 in the 4th quarter meanwhile Harden either stood around and watched or road the bench most of the 4th quarter. He was 7-22 overall and had 4 points in the 4th.
2019 Game 3 vs Warriors Literally 1 season ago. Harden scores 13 in the 4th and OT and hits the last two to seal the win. Step back 3 puts us up 124-118 Floater seals the game 126-121
He also had a great game against Minnesota the year before where he scored like 15 in the 4th quarter, including 10 straight points in like 90 seconds or something like that, if I'm remembering it correctly. This is why I hate that everyone has to be so hyperbolic these days. It's ridiculous to say that Harden has NEVER done this.
It's because we're choking so he is feeling himself. I just remember many self-destruct sequences from him in his time on the Clippers and whatever New Orleans was back in the day. But hey, different circumstances on the Thunder and different motivations against the Rockets may make him a different clutch player.
