    mmmmmmmmmmmmm, Ann Coulter.

Also, some of you need a dose of reality about O'Reilly.

ewfd writes- Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity are just highly paid blow-hards.

They're the "pudding" of the news world.. just sensationalism with no real journalistic value.

I watch their programs sometimes, mainly for a laugh.

It's amazing to believe that anyone could find these two guys are "fair and balanced".

Timing writes-He's an entertainer posing as a newsman, pretty much like the rest of FOX News. He's called the ACLU a fascist organization, compared Ludacris to Jeffrey Dahmer, and regularly throws out half-truths to incite his sheep. He's a goof basically.

Guess what? O'Reilly is not a news reporter. He doesn't have to be unbiased. His show is a hit because millions of people enjoy the discussions that ensue when O'Reilly and his guests clash in spirited debate. If you don't like it, don't watch.

i don't have a problem with the show...but i deal with conflict all day long at work...it's very difficult for me to watch any of these shows at night...i have a hard enough time even watching the news at night. i'd rather hang with my wife and son...watch sports or a sitcom...and go to sleep.

I know what you mean. I never could watch news in LA; 25 minutes of rape and murder. Then if it drizzled, they were on 'storm watch'.

I recall one study that indicated that brainwaves became meditation-like when watching American TV (sitcoms).

the main problem that i have found with o'reilly, is that while he is entertaining, he is not equal. He makes sure his guests know enough to speak with him, but not enough to put up a fair argument. His little tirade about france the other night was horrific. I was surprised he didn't take down the statue of liberty himself and buy spraypaint for uninformed malleable youths.

He is fun, but keep in mind, if he looks bad his ego could not take it. Therefore, he will rarely to never put himself in a position to look bad.

You're exactly right about his ego. I read his book, it was nothing but O'Reilly talking about himself and his life and his beliefs. This guy is an egomaniac.

The other thing I don't like about him is that I don't think he's all that brilliant. Not politically anyways. Every issue for him is just about arguing 2 opposing positions. But there is a lot more to politcs than just that. Chris Matthews does a much better job in my opinion, he really goes in depth and tries to look at some of the complexities in every politcial situation.

That kind of puts a big hole in the "no spin zone" and the whole "fair and balanced" thing when all of FOX's reporters and especially Sheppard Smith do their daily O'Reilly impersonations. Cavuto, Hannity, etc. and the "news" reporters are all entertainers. They should change their name from FOX News to FOX Entertainment. I don't mind them being biased, I mind them saying that they're fair and balanced which is a flat out lie.

Well, I was gonna mention the invading Muslim countries and converting the people to Christianity and the physically intimidating liberals stuff. After reading these other quotes, I've decided that I was wrong to call her a hate monger, so sorry about that giddyup. I think it would be more appropriate to call her

    THE DEVIL!!!

Amen, if they drop the "fair and balanced" stuff, I'd shut up about Fox.

No, it isn't a lie. Only the balance part is. But Fox is fair. They almost always let a person with an opposing viewpoint express his or her opinion. This is unlike CNN used to be, which was blatantly biased and rarely used to let conservatives on the air to give an opposing veiw.

I used to like him before I saw him on the Best Damn Sports show on Fox...

He was questioned about AI and his incident w/ the gun/wife...

it was like he was a tad on the racist side, very stereo typical and from that point on, I have turned him off...

Your analysis is silly. O'Reilly, Hannity, and Cavuto are not reporters, so you can't hold them to the same standards as we hold newsreaders.

The newsreaders at Fox News are unbiased to the point of blandness. Bland newsreading though, doesn't pay the bills though, so Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC fill their evening broadcast with personality driven current events programs.

You just don't like the political conservatives employed by Fox News, so you unfairly label the entire network as "unfair".

Just accept that the majority of Americans agrees with the Fox News personalities, and therefore Fox News is number 1. It is about time that the silent conservative majority is represented by the TV news.

I'll keep it simple and use small words so O'Reilly fans can understand what I'm typing.

If you like Bill O'Reilly then you are not an intelligent person.
If you like Bill O'Reilly then you never learned how to think for yourself.
If you like Bill O'Reilly then please don't ever vote on any issue because most likely you'll be helping to ruin the country for the real people.

To summarize, if you like Bill O'Reilly then you're a ****ing moron.

This is the kind of attitude that lead some.. no... many people to like Fox News. Just look at the ratings.

Okay, O'Reilly is a bit of a blowhard. He is not a news source Sure, his idea of the "No Spin" Zone is to counter the Spin that comes off of almost everything that comes from the major networks. It's more like "Counter Spin" than "No Spin."

Big deal. It balance out the bigger picture.

Well, I guess If I was conservative, I would see Fox the way I do CNN. I mean, we lefties can point to stuff that discredits the fair and balanced stuff at Fox, but nobody tells us what CNN does to get the liberal bias or left wing conspiracy rap. So I guess I'm asking for you guys to just tell us how CNN is biased. Honestly, I get the feeling that some people just don't watch CNN and take Rush's word for it.

That is such bull. MSNBC has Hardball, the most fair and balanced "pesonality driven" show on news television. In fact MSNBC has turned to the likes of Joe Scarborough and Mike Savage because caveman TV is so popular at FOX. FOX News is a parade of right wing zealots pushing an agenda while MSNBC reports news and has real debate, until recently anyway.

The silent conservative majority that lost the last popular election should stay silent until they have something intelligent to say. Until then a lot of us will just laugh at no spin zones which package complex issues into simplistic nonsense to suit a right wing agenda.
