I mentioned that website I was a member of. I just got their monthly newsletter. Maybe it can help give you some direction:
Nice! My uncle was one of the original investors, helping out his buddy Jeff with a new online book store called "Amazon.com".
See, now I don't know how to answer that question. In order for this idea to take off in popularity, it needs to be a very, very good v.1 of the product. So I need several excellent developers. I'd need marketers... accountants... I really don't have no idea how much money I'd need to start off with. If you were starting up Ebay (no, my idea is NOT an auction site) how much would you need?
How scalable is your idea? Is it something that could start small and grow as you bring in revenues or is it an all-or-nothing project? Also, I could help with your copywriting depending on your audience.
It'd probably be a most-or-nothing project. Can't really start small. Need to start pretty durned large. Really needs to hit the ground running. If it doesn't make a fantastic first-impression, it'd probably not survive.
Always willing to hear out any good ideas or businesses. Count me in as a potential investor as well.
