It really is sad how people on this board continue to make excuses for Tmac. That shoulder injury is a cop out. Tmac just doesn't have the mental toughness to win anything.

Some of you sound ridiculous this loss was not on T-Mac Shooting it has everything to do with REBOUNDS and FREETHROW SHOOTING. I said this was 2 keys to this series and to keep a close eye on it because it will be the little things that keeps us from advancing. As far as the game goes T-Mac played aggressive enough he isnt going to dunk the ball everytime he gets his hands on it. Jackson and Head made some bone head playes and T-Mac did demand the ball when we was up in the 3rd and was pumped up i thought he would have attacked somemore but no Jackson takes a jumpshot with a hand all in his face. Like i was saying this loss has nothing to do with T-Mac shooting the ball he played well. T-mac played with alot of energy this game and even played great defense.

well, I'm glad this is the game I miss due to my gf. I went hoping to watch the game tonight but missed it because we sat in the "UFC" section...no rockets screen. UGH>

I only got to watch about 7min of quarter 3, where we made a comeback. I left and came back in the 4th quarter after we took the lead in the third and then we were suddenly down 13 again. UGH.

    ROCKETS get game 2.

    GO ROCKETS!!!

    Cop out?

Okay then... you go out and shoot lights out with a contraption on your off shoulder, while in pain and out of rhythm.

Because we all know that Jerry36 is a consummate professional.

    This is the end :).

Mcgrady cant win a series, why wouldnt it be the end?

Mcloser needs to be carried to the next round by 5 superstars. Scola's is awesome but isnt good enough to do that :D

Goodluck next year (without mcgrady plz god).

i dont blame t-mac for this game. its obvious hes not what he used to be. he has to call for picks in order to get past his man now, and his jumper is as worse as ever. add to the fact that Hayes, Dikembe, and Battier can't score on their own and its a wonder how we get points on the board. I would like to see us run up and down but we don't have the personnel to do so. Battier isn't going to finish coast to coast and T-Mac walks up and down the court.

But it was pretty much teams fault. Aaron Brooks was SO SELFISH. I think about 3 or 4 straight positions he drove to the basket by himself without even looking at his teammates.

We didn't look to pass the ball to him at all. You can't really blame him for this game. Of course 7/21 is very bad but he was agressive, he was making shots for 3 quater (then damn went ice cold) he was making plays for other guys.

He just didn't get ANY help. ANY. Nobody was able to make shot, let's hope Bobby won't have 2 horrible nights for him. And again, when Utah saw that nobod besides Tracy or Shane can hit a shot they just decided to come out much more agressive on him. They were not afraid about other guys cause they knew nobody can hit nothing.

One more thing, I don't think that shoulder injury is that serious as some of you wanna say. You think it needs a surgery, I think it doesn't. Calm down, shoulder is ok, he was playing well for 3 quaters, just went ice cold in the 4th.

But that's because he didn't have ANY help. This game just looked like last years. Yao and T-Mac and than NOBODY.

the times that he did get the ball he would dribble a couple of times and then pass it to bjax or someone on the perimieter....he wasnt being aggressive and trying to take it to the rim or create for others...and u could just tell from his body language that he had already given up

I pretty much agree. You saw his attitude during the 3rd quater - especially the start. He was energized. We were making a run, he was motivated and he was so agressive going inside.

That after several carless positions on defense Utah made a big run and he saw no chances, just gave up.

You can't put all the blame on McGrady. Last night was no different from how we played in the regular season and during our 22 game win streak. There were so many plays where T-Mac set his teammates up for easy buckets but they couldn't convert. We basically got the same looks we've been getting all season, but nobody could make a shot.

Blame T-Mac all you want but outside of Scola and Battier, nobody else did a damn thing. The bench, which is suppose to be good, was non-existent. We're settling for way too many three pointers, while the Jazz were getting shots in the paint. Our defense was pretty bad and if we can't play good defense, it's going to be hard to win. Without Yao, defense is our M.O.

By that time, the game was already out of reach. At least he tried to score some points.

Look to pass him the ball? Are you kidding? He very rarely comes off screens or tries to get himself open for a pass. Most of the time, he likes the ball at the top of the key so he can run a pick and roll. And he could get the ball whenever he wanted. The problem was that when he had it, he would immediately defer to teammates, and more often then not, the teammates weren't even open. It was like he just didnt want the ball.

If his teammates arent making baskets, he should take it upon himself to be more aggressive. He is supposed to be a star, right? Or have we started holding him to the same standard we hold bobby jackson?

Shame on you. Aaron Brooks, our ROOKIE, with a misproportioned head, was the ONLY guy in the 4th who decided to but in any semblance of an effort.

I'm not placing blame, I'm pointing out his role and responsibility, oh and the fact that his improved performance is our only hope.
