Speaking of past thread, I think some people should/are eating some crow after this thread. Kobe better than Tmac without a doubt? LOL. Pulease. http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83644 I hate to pick on Juan Valdez, but quotes like these won't be around too much longer at the rate the lakers are going. That's probably why it's called a 'guess'.
HAHA! I just read through most of that and umm.... YUMMY! I did say some things on there that I might want to take back, but I'll still stand by some of them. Has T-Mac made the Rockets into championship contenders? Yup! Has Bryant made the Lakers a mediocre team? Well, that's a little complicated, but overall... NO! However, this did become true in a way.. Bryant did have his All NBA First Team type season, Odom fell WAY short... because of Byant? Everyone says yes, to me that's a bunch of bologna, I didn't see Bryant on pretty much every other team Odom has been on. He's fallen short of where his talent suggests he should be everywhere he's played basketball, shouldn't be on any of his teammates. This was interesting on T-Mac... He's done that SO many times this season, it's been a pleasure to see T-Mac evolve this season, big time pleasure. On Bryant again... I'd like to take back some of that statement. The Lakers will NOT improve, their GM STINKS! Could anyone believe that they couldn't move a SF before the trading deadline? They have like 10 of them and it's not like they didn't need some changes, they should of gotten a good PG or a good PF for one of them. GM Kobe needs to WAKE UP! Also, if I had known anything about braintypes (I know that concept has very little credibility among fans but I do give it some merit) I would have had slightly different opinions on some of those things.
LOL. That's pretty manly of you to admit that. I'm thinking most people in that thread won't say a damn thing (and there were A LOT of doubters ) , but overall I still say they are pretty darned close talent-wise. It's kind of laughable how many hardcore Kobe fans thought he was SOOOOO much better than Tmac. Shaq was the most important key to his success, that much is obvious...it looks like Tmac picked up on that last year. BTW, I kind of like what I said then.
