    @HillBoy

not knocking anything in your post , but how could you have been pissed at artest trade ?

batum is a solid player and artest only lasted one season , sure ... but if Yao and Tmac don’t go down again that’s a championship squad .

Morey gambles too much . But that’s what you have to do when you aren’t LA / NY and your owner won’t let you tank

No he’s not, there’s a reason everybody laughs at you and thinks you’re stupid. Even now after being wrong about everything you’re trying to deflect.

Really the rockets just dont have the team around these 2 , harden and westbrook to compete. I seen times where Jeff Green a player from nowhere was the only one getting the job done. The rockets have 2 great stars, but they lack a real bench. They need to get whole new crew around these guys, and Need to come in with a defensive team. They need a Defense minded coach, who knows when to slow the game down and pick n roll of offense.

Harden needs to drive more like he use to where he was at the line and living off it. Westbrook needs to calm the f--- down and take open shots, and we need a post up player who can rebound and block shots. Rockets need height and size. So if you keep your 2 stars the players you got now around them probably will need to go, and i think eric gordon is your key trade asset.

This is what happens when the superstar players have too much power. Morey and Tilman are so concerned about keeping Harden happy, they end up making bad trades.

This isn’t so much a Rockets thing. It’s just the way things are in the NBA. Star players aren’t always good at making personnel decisions.

DD wish you would’ve joined/defended me during the season when I kept screaming the same thing in many posts only to get ruthlessly abused by the so-called “real” fans on this site. In my opinion, after reading your post, you are one heck of a “real” fan and stating what you did only proves how dedicated you are and how much you want things to change for the betterment of the team (even if it means some short term pain). Sad reality is that minus trading Harden we have 0 assets with good contracts that other teams would value....AND of course Morey has given away our future with all the first round picks he has given away like bad candy. First move, towards fixing this mess, as I’ve stated over 100 times on this board is to remove Morey and MDA from this organization. They are problem #’s 1 & 2. Sadly, problem #3 is not far behind and that is our cheap arse egotistical owner. But that is what it is, so getting rid of 1&2, is the realistic option that fixes this mess longer term. Tilman has been a successful businessman, so he should have a clue about what needs to be done.

troll thread attention seeking hot take

op sitting on this then rockets make playoffs. then op was going to post this thread and rockets made it to 2nd round.

things looking down against league favorite and hof in lebron yet op wants to whine like a baby.
worst thing ever morey could have done for op clown was to call him out now op thinks he can write this troll letter to morey and get some audience? smh

i hate ops negativity and he should go post on kings or hornets board.. its so tired lame loser.
blow the team up for what? to be a perpetual bottom feeder? im so glad this board didnt exist in title runs i imagine op was equally insufferable.
while i agree with op on some of his political takes , this thread is a loser thread and op is projecting his negativity from himself into this and its shameful.

op is consistently wrong and im actually ok with this thread from point of view of op having uncanny knack of jinxing things. its like a cf law of nature

DD was right on this one. You may not like it and sometimes it is not easy to hear, but the truth matters and DD was spot on this time.

Precisely. Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. This analytics driven extreme small ball stuff doesn't work. Not full time. I respect Morey and D'antoni for their courage to try new things. I'm always up for that. But it didn't work. And it won't work. We are going to lose this series and we are going to be stuck with an immovable albatross contract of an aging guard who cant shoot, cant pass apparently, and cant defend.

Thats not even the problem. I believe we can make it work with this roster and Harden. But for the love of God just open up the mid range. You can't be 2 dimensional (3s and drives) deep into the playoffs. Just take a good shot. A good shot is an open shot in rhythm. Period. How many times do we have to watch our players hesitate on a 2 because its not "following the system". Its asinine and the proof is in the pudding. Small ball is fine for a bit like the Warriors would do. But not all the time. It becomes predictable and easier to guard over time. Its why the Rockets always seem to win Game 1 then just descend over time.

Get a real coach, open the mid range, and replenish our resources for the mediocrity post Harden.

the most frustrating part is watching our guys literally run back to the 3 after being given WIDE OPEN 15 footers. i mean yeah, we dont have to take 20 ft 2's but 10-15? comon man.

i don't even wanna think what some of these dudes would do if they were fans of the kings or wolves and hornets. constant trips to the 2nd round and conference finals are just too much to take!!

We were a hamstring away from a championship. This season we went 2 -3 trades backwards. This ultimately falls on Morey and Tillman

And that's the season - worse every year since we got close.

    Blow it up!

Nope....this is a whole new frustration level.

Don't get mad because some of us said this from the beginning of the Russ trade - and I firmly FIRMLY believe this was FORCED on Morey -- he is far too smart to have wanted this trade.

my post was joking about the fact we've been on the board for like 2 decades and you've pretty much disliked everything about the team that entire time. you're preaching to the choir on westbrook.

I loved the Yao, Scola, Brooks, Lowry, TMac team ......did think Tmac was not a winner or leader, but Yao was....
