Tom Arnold was Married to Rosanne Barr, so obviously anything he says for the rest of his life is crap.

Tell Scrub ass, laker ass-kissing Sally to get off his knees.

Michael Irvin needs to go back to some cracked out hotel room

And the other two chubby white boys are jackasses!!

    Screw that show!

The show is nothing but a LONG ass commercial for Mike's Hard Lemonade and Outback Steakhouse. Having said that, I still watch it on most nights b/c I'm a sports junkie and need my fix.

THe show is a joke, but that's it's intention... Why do you think a comedian is on it... Their main focus is to entertain even at the expense of true information... Most of the naysayers on Yao are slowly cming around... Fred Carter on NBA 2night had only good things to say about Yao and the Rockets and predicted to be a dangerous sleeper in the playoffs and possibly move up as high as 4th seed in the west... I heard 2 other guys on ESPN debating Yao's abilities... Let them talk & argue all they want. I believe Yao said it best when he said that basketball is not something you can talk about... "but rather it's an action through which you can show people. I just think I need to show them on the court." Yao is showing them on the court and eventually the morons who don't play will not be able to deny the truth... Yao is the real deal!

I will not stick up for that show, because I think it needs improvement(get back to sports coverage guys), but you all need to understand there is much more to the media than meets the eye.

First of all, a lot of times reporters are asked by the producer to take the opposite side, even if you really don't believe in it, because arguing on TV produces good ratings.

I work for KVR at UT(Sure some of my fellow UT students on the boards know what it is)

Anyways-for one show, after the OU game, even though I didn't think it was Chris Simms' fault we lost, someone on set had to bash him, and I ripped into him-I said he needs to be more of an a** with his teammates-not just Mr Nice Guy for the sake of the show.

Same thing my 2nd appearance, UT was playing Baylor in football-as if anyone thought Baylor would win, but the producers wanted one of us to take the Bear Cubs, so I did-I used a miracle of prayer/god=connection with religious university, as the basis of the argument, but you actually think I thought Baylor had a chance?

In fact, last week the host of our show was "forced" to pick Tech, and now people will think he's something great, even though in reality he never really believed it.

The media is a business, and it functions the same way an accounting firm or a law firm works-You try to do whatever gets the most viewers, in the professional media-viewers plus money. As in law firms, it's about how high of a retainer fee people are willing to pay, and how good a job you do, so they will tell their friends/come back.

In conclusion, the media isn't perfect, and I don't agree with the way the best damn sports show has forgotten its primary purpose of sports reporting, you guys have to realize there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff involved, and what you see may not always be that reporter's true colors.

Irvin hasn't said anything about Yao, why bash him?

As for the show itself, I actually think it's a pretty good show. They have some funny things to say, and they seem to always have some asinine things to say. I think you guys are taking it too seriously. Someone here already said it best ... It doesn't matter what anyone thinks of Yao, as long as he's helping the Rockets win games ...

They did the same thing with Shawn Bradley after the Raptors game. Shawn got dunked on by JYD, and even though Bradley had a good game, and far outplayed JYD all they kept saying was "same old Shawn Bradley" and "man he sucks". They made no mention of his good game that night, and how JYD didn't even reach 10 points that night.

A lot of what they say is crap but it's all in fun, just don't take it so seriously.

Crackhead has made several derogatory comments about Yao.

Salley is just pathetic... guy played 12 years and his career game was 28 points ..Yao almost equaled that in his first month in only 23 min. :D How about that awesome career avg of 7pts 4 reb... freakin amazing

Wow, you dont know where the rave about Yao Ming began? It was Walton's article in ESPN magazine after sydney Olympics, "The next big tthings". Yao Ming visited Walton in Chicago in his short stay this may. Walton treated him like his own son.

Lisa Guerrero and Leanne Tweeden really are the best features of the show.
That being said, I love the show with the exception of Salley.

    Besides, it's John Salley.
Does any true basketball fan care about his opinion.
    Career stats:
    PPG - 7.0
    RPG - 4.5
    APG - 1.2
    SPG - .6
    BPG - 1.31
    Fouls/PG - 3.2
    MPG - 22.1

I do like what Payton said about not expecting top draft picks to make an immediate impact, but rather become projects giving them a few years.
If anyone deserves a "Kruk You", is Salley.

    :D

I dont mind Barkley criticizing ming, he is a hall of famer. But John Salley and Tom Tobert? I cant stand to see guys like this bash ming. I would never know Tobert ever played in the NBA if he didnt mention it ten times a game. Theyre just jealous that ming has a hundred times more potential then they ever had. Best Damn Sport Show is a great show, Mike Irvin is a very funny guy, the rest of the cast is sometimes unwatchable. Overall its still a decent show

Next times he's on the set watch his eye's when Lisa Guerrero, and Leanne Tweeden are on the set or leaving the set. I swear he's checking out their a$$ every time (not that I care I just wish I was there instead of him).

    He's not the only one.
I remember several months ago, the issue of the male hosts staring at Lisa as she got up and walked to her desk(mainly Salley) was brought up.
Since then, they've made some what of an effort to not look.
I also remember how the following weeks after the issue came about, they would purposely stare to either side, but never towards Lisa's direction.

    :)

I thought that I was the only one to notice. When Sheryl Swoopes was on the show Michael Irvin appeared to be in full mack mode when she stepped onto the set. He gave her the head-to-toe thing (he seemed to be surprised to see that she was attractive) then followed her ass all the way to her chair. Priceless.

I don't mind the show. It's just that I have a problem with Salley.
Ever since he joined the Bulls. I was like, oh boy...here we go.
    Then, his show!

Tom Arnold is silly, and so is Kruk. But at least they know it.

Salley tries to come off as "Mr. Mac Daddy!"
Be Like Mike? Salley wants to Be like Shaq!

At least pick your role-models right? Be like Yao! :D
