I just realized how much i hate this guy, makes me wanna puke when i saw this cocky, pretentious face...
dont like Kobe but you gotta respect his game. Dude hits 40 points like its a white chick in Colorado.
or brother is what you call Jessica Alba who was on your lap yelling Kobe is a Biiiitch along with ya.
he could be such a likeable guy, but he chooses to be a douche, instead of being so cocky, be greatfull and modest like battier
the truth... is that Kobe clearly elbowed Ron Ron, after being frustrated that Ron was holding Kobe down by the neck using his forearm. The Elbow clearly hit the chest and NOT above the shoulders. Kobe Elbow Analysis most in depth look I could find of the play.
I want people to boycott watching the Spike Lee document on Kobe Bryant on ESPN. Just to send a message to ESPN...
Yup, from a LAKERS fan site. It is so objective too . Go back to LALA land, and please leave us alone. You've posted the same thing numerous times on this board, and are quite frankly a waste of space to this board.
to comment on that analysis, kobe was half bent because he was trying to get low on artest, the only thing you can do on a player who is bigger, this is why chuck is so good, so artest had no choice but to have his arm on his shoulder, when he raised up artests arm came up and he threw the elbow, whether he connected or not is not the point, he swung hard enough to piss off artest, this was similar to the bs 3rd foul on yao when pau had his arm across yaos chest and yao raised his arms for the rebound only to be called for an offensive foul
Hear, hear! Kobe has ALWAYS been a punk, always been a little female dog. He's the guy who grew up in Italy who wants to be 'street.' It's a farce. The difference now is that he knows he's on the downside, physically, and he almost has a scrub's mentality that he will do anything to try to win, including cheap shots like the ones to Battier and Ron. The more you lose your physical skills, the more you end up throwing elbows and kneeing guys who swatted down you pass. I know, it happened to me as I got closer to the end of my consistent YMCA playing days (I'm 37 now). If the Lakers don't win a ring this year -- and they won't -- the end of the never-started "Kobe Era" will be complete. He may still win another ring, but he'll never be the supposed 'team leader' after this go-round. I say that because Gasol had a better efficiency rating than Kob this season (and Pau had a more efficient game last night, too, in terms of the efficiency rating), and Kobe's legs aren't getting any younger or his physical talent any greater. Houston, Denver or Cleveland (or Orlando) all can beat the Lakers, and one of them almost certainly will. I hope it's the Roxs, but as long as it gets done I'll be happy. Last night was desperation land for the Lakers. That's why Odom was screaming at Scola, Kob was talking to Battier all night, Fish hit Scola, Kob hit Ron, etc. Yet the Roxs STILL could have won the game if Ron doesn't get tossed. The Lakers may as many adjustments as they can: Odom start, Kobe on Brooks, front Yao, ...and the bag of tricks is empty now. If Scola can play hard again and maul Odom on the blocks as he was, and Yao can stay in the game for longer stretches, and the Roxs can solve the Yao being fronted thing, then I think they will take the series. Time for Adelman to make the adjustments and the Roxs to really take it to LAL. Our bench is way better than theirs, and those guys are basically feeling confident. That should be huge in Houston. One more thing: VON WAFER, get a grip. Same with you, Ron. You can't get tossed.
That ejection from Ron was rediculous. I won't say that is his fault. He got ejected because the man is who he is. He's stained and as soon as he walks up to someone the red flag goes up. However we have had our share of players that took defence to the next level. Heck look at our Rockets team during the championship days. We had players that did things that were a little rougher and could be considered gray line when it came between good defence and hardcore physical play. Like I said if the league is going to let these people get away with it then it should be a lesson learned to our players on what can be done and what can not and give them a little bit of our own physical play. Pistons, Celtics, Lakers, Spurs, Cavs, Mavs and now Nuggets all have these "pit bulls" that do the dirty work. Like I said if our boys can't stand the pressure and the physical play that the league clearly allows then we shouldn't even be out there. Our boys can't complain but need to stand up to the challenge and adapt. These guys have been to the Finals before and we haven't. Our kids just got an education of what it means to be a man in the second round. Time to learn.
Game2 give me a new vision: Kobe is an ugly NBA player, not a superstar. Now i understand why Stern want to find another (James) as NBA image instead of Kobe.
"Love me or hate me, its one or the other. Always has been. Hate my game, my swagger. Hate my fadeaway, my hunger.Hate that I'm a veteran. A champion. Hate that. Hate it with all your heart. And hate that I'm loved, for the exact same reason."-Kobe Bryant
The problem with Kobe is none of that. It's that he is a dirty b-tch. I don't begrudge him any of his success, it's the way he is playing RIGHT NOW that I take offense at. If he wants to throw elbows, as he has done over and over again, he gets put in the same category as the Utah Jazz. He joins the just-a-ho tribe. Really, I just don't see Kobe winning anymore championships unless he is just a small part of a great team, like if he joined the Rockets to come off the bench or something. He used to be really good on the court, but his skills have degraded, and now all you see are the b-tch moves that he pulls.
