ABC needs to stop trying to get a new fan base of sissies. Last year was that "Let's Get It Started" and that pissed me the hell off. They outdid themselves in pure patheticness(is that even a word) with the Pussycat Dolls. Next year they'll probably have the winner of American Idol. Suck it up David Stern. Basketball will always be a hip-hop sport. Majority of your fanbase and players are hip-hop purists. It will forever be the music to get people pumped up. Now get up off your ignorant a$$, throw all that lame pop s*** out the window, and get Lil Jon and Jadakiss in here. He could get me crunk in a funeral.
you do understand that this product needs to be sold to a larger audience than just hip-hop fans. this is a global product. you need to attract people from all over the world to watch. as much as i like lil jon, most of the world will turn off the tv when they see or hear him.
Although I hate it, it makes sense in the business perpective. The diehard fans are going to watch no matter what. (Hey, you guys wouldn't be complaining if you didn't watch.) What they want to attract are casual fans, who don't know much about appreciating basketball, but might be lured by all those other stuff.
The players will take care of the global audience that watches games(see Yao). Not that they should adhere to hip-hop fans, but they need to stop going away from it. David Stern is going out of his way to remove that image. They're killing the game. The presentation of the game is just awful. Do something within the image of the game. **PUSSYCAT DOLLS IS NOT AN IMAGE OF BASKETBALL!!!!!** And from the reaction I hear, I've never heard a single person who likes the ABC presentation. And I know I'm not the only person who mutes the TV during breaks. I really wished they remained on NBC. I use that tune as my ringtone.

ABC should really stay away from sport themes we're people sing...just stick to one of the MNF themes (original one, popular one, one from early 80s, late 80s (MNB), or the one before the Hank Williams one).

PCD music on one side Lil Jon on the other side. It doesn't have to be lyrical, though Jadakiss could easily handle it, but it damn sure better be crunk. It needs to get me off my seat and on my feet.
