I took my gun out to the backyard a few times when the dog started barking and looking out of the window. I don't think I would use the gun but it has a very nice tac light on it ... I found the culprits ... rabbits.

I sold my old Glock 22 (full size)because I always had it locked up. I keep my Glock 27 (baby Glock) with me at all times, so I figured I'd always have that in a SHTF situation. I think I'm going to go and purchase another Glock 22. I loved that full size Glock. Larger magazine capacity and felt perfect in my hands. I can put a tac light on it as well. Baby Glock can't wear the tac light in my holster.

The largest caliber guns I have are Glock 22 and Springfield XD9
Glock is the one with the light but I like the Springfield better.
I also have a Walther P22 but I don't know if that would be good for self defense :D

I love my trijicon night sights, but is there a need with a tac light on it?

It may still help because the light illuminates everything in front of you but it may help more if you have night sights as well.

Why would you want a rifle for self defense?
Might as well get a shotgun.
Although an M4 is very cool. My brother has one and its really fun to shoot.

I can't get a shotgun until I get a rifle safe. I can lock up and/or carry my Glocks on me, but the shotgun needs to be locked up.

Aren't we giving the people who break the law carta blanche to our homes? Cops and the Law aren't scaring these people away.

If we continue to sit on our hands and do nothing, it's just going to get worse. These people need to be afraid of US.

    Who said anything about killing.
Shoot to wound ... not to kill.
Then they will always remember what will happen the next time they try to break the law :p

How long until this thread goes to D&D?

I have no desire to take the guns out of people's hands (specifically for reasons like this) but I won't lie and say that "gun culture" and the people who love them don't pretty much freak me out.

I have a Loiusville slugger and a yorkshire terrier. And I only date girls from the 'hood. Should I venture to Academy to make myself more menacing?

If I ever pull out a gun on someone, I am shooting to kill. If I was going to wound someone, I would use a baseball bat.

    Baseball bat is too risky.
If you know how to aim why not just stop the person who is attacking you and then let the police deal with them rather than killing them. Thats just my opinion...but I am sure that there are situations when there is no time to aim.
