This is why I hate politics. And pretty much all these responses will flip flop the next time something like this comes up. Nothing like caring more for what's best for your country over what's best for your political party...
Here's the .pdf of a summary of the new House organization bill... http://majorityleader.gov/docUploads/RulesPackageFactSheet010509.pdf and more on the Motion to Recommit... http://www.majorityleader.gov/docUploads/MTRFactSheet010509.pdf
I find it kind of funny that some of you knee jerk defend Obama against this article...lol Anyway I find it terribly ironic how the republicans are always the ones "crossing the aisle" and being "non-partisan" or what ever other CNN catch phrases you want to throw out there. But now we see the democrats being partisan and childish in the way they are attempting to roll back the "contract with America" that did so much to improve the house or reps in the 1990's and yet this is not mainstream news? I have to say that if things were switched it would be front page news in the Houston comical...
The odd thing is trying to lump Obama into it at all. He is not the President, and has nothing to do with this legislation at all.
I find it funnier that you apparently don't understand the concept of separate branches of government and make the charge you just made. Thank you for posting though - with an opposition party this stupid it serves as a real ego booster and a portent of HAPPY DAYS ahead
its not irony, when the voters have voted you out of power you have kind of have to compromise to get anything done, as opposed to 2000 through 2006 when the GOP was oh so cooperative ---->
Any old timers know if back in 2000, people were stupid enough to run around posting articles about the senate, judiciary, and state level offices claiming hypocrisy on Bush's "Uniter not a diver" or "Compassionate conservative" slogans?
Hey look its a Stalin sighting, look at me I can make false statements and call people names....if you want to see stupid just look in the mirror Now please point out where in my original post I made any comments about Obama or for that matter any comments at all. The post is simply an article and a link. Next time you get your panties in a wad and charge off pointing at someone and calling them stupid remember the three fingers point right back at you...
Trying to tie Obama to this is beyond silly. He has nothing to do with this. I believe, truth be told, Obama probably is not a fan of this idea. Since the election, Obama has on numerous occasions reached across the aisle. His economic advisory team spans the entire political spectrum. This is indicative of somebody who is looking for real solutions. I have been very encouraged. Pelosi's move will make it more difficult for Obama to achieve the bipartisan cooperation that he has been seeking.
I think a better way to put it would be -- Dem congress finally sweeps out the last remnants of the corrupt Gingrich contract with America.
Yes and it says; and I quote: "I guess this is what they meant by change" So where is the comment about the messiah? LACK OF YOUR COMPREHENSION ~ PROVEN!
