From the guy who has enough integrity to suggest an experiment which would prove the point. Also from the guy who is honest enough to use actual, verbatim quotes in his sig rather than making **** up to attribute to another person.

You mean like how people were blaming all cops and the entire justice system after what happened with Garner and Brown?

If George Zimmerman didn't follow and confront Treyvon for no reason........listening to the 911 operator's instructions.....Martin would be alive today.

Following him wasn't a crime though, it WAS a crime when Martin foolishly assaulted Zimmerman. Both parties were idiots, only one's foolishness puts him in a prime spot to earn a Darwin award.

So, what's your argument -- that people should not be allowed to protest anymore when they feel their government has become abusive? That is a pretty fascistic and anti-american mindset.

Would you feel the same way if Zimmerman would have been the one who ended up dead in that conflict?

Absolutely. He was stupid for getting in Martin's business, Martin was stupid for attacking him. If Zimmerman's foolishness had ended up costing him his life, he'd get the Darwin award and Martin would be in jail right now.

Oh whoa whoa -- why would Martin be in jail but Zimmerman isn't?

The only reason Martin didn't go to jail for assaulting Zimmerman was because he died. The only person that committed a crime in that ordeal was Martin. If he assaulted him and ended up killing him, it would be murder.

Oh, I see what you are saying -- you are saying they both were idiots and their potential deaths were their own fault, but that the only crime that was committed was by Martin, so he is the only one who would have ended up in jail.

Personally I think the fact that the laws support your perspective is an indictment of the laws in question, and not a support of your analysis of the situation.

Ironic that if Martin lived and Zimmerman died, Martin could have effectively used the Stand your ground statute. He could have easily said that a grown adult man was following him, an underage individual, in the middle of the night. He felt creeped out and confronted him. Zimmerman had a weapon and Martin took action. No witnesses, only Martin's word.

He really couldn't have, the stand your ground law wouldn't protect the assailant. Then again, he could have lied and said that Zimmerman attacked him, but there would have to be signs of that to make that defense work. "Stand your ground" isn't "Attack someone for being in your business"

I don't agree with this. Since Donny Most didn't say this either, I'll let him speak as to whether or not he agrees with you.
