Post your picture on the board wearing jeans, t-shirt, white sox, no shoes, in front of a box of cereal. Chicks dig that a lot.
If you don't mind paying out of state tuition, you might consider Oklahoma, Arkansas, or LSU. When I was in high school, I got scholarships from OU and Texas Tech. OU was willing to pay my tuition for 4 years, and Tech admitted me into their honors program. The honors program gives you automatic medical school admission if you maintain a 3.25 cumulative for 4 years. Instead, I studied EE at Texas, and the rest is history.
Interesting... I've never actually heard of a Texas resident apply to OU for any reason other than playing sports. Do you mind my asking what made you consider applying to OU?
I was the same way in high school. Don't worry, you will get over any shyness you have the minute you walk into your first "college party" Trust me.
One of the smartest people I know (this dude is freaky smart...) went to OU. He was from Oregon originally and they offered him a similar 4 year full ride. Tuition money is a big deal to a lot of people. By the way, in case any of you were wondering, he has several UT alumns working underneath him right now....who are older than him...
If you go to the webpage and read the article linked as "About Tx State," you'll find that the actual name of the school is Texas State University - San Marcos. You might want to know the full name before you start classes. I have a lot of friends who went there. Sounds to me like they really enjoyed it. Congrats.
If for any reason I cannot attend during the spring semester, would I have to re-apply for the fall semester of '05. Texas state already gave me a Texas State ID
You should ask the admissions office if you can get a deferral. It usually lasts for 1 year (2 regular semesters). If not, you will have to reapply.
