To the original poster: Kindly note that DeVry is a for profit university. Certain pitfalls exist when choosing this route. Please take the time to watch the Frontline presentation, "College Inc", which sheds a great deal of light on these types of institutions. You may draw your own conclusions. Click to Watch I suspect that The Bird obtained this information second hand.
LOL, you got those stats straight off their website. How about finding an independent source that says the same thing.
devry, everest, remington, sanford brown are all rip-offs. My friend got his ass ate up by devry. He owes like $10,000 for just a semester . Now he is taking the same identical classes at lone star college. Me in the other hand, got accepted for the medical radiolgic program at Cy-fair college
To the OP- You will do yourself a great disservice by going to DeVry. The people who make hiring decisions will generally not give that educational experience much credence. You will usually do much better (at a much lower cost) by going to JUCO and transferring to UT, A&M or UH. This is your life. I hope for the best for you. I believe you are making a mistake.
I agree. The people here that are raggin on u are taking away from the great advice that some people are giving. Juco-> university will give u more bang for your buck.
This stupid Everest College keep on harassing me to take their courses. They call me every freaking day but I never pick it up so I decided to block their calls.
Everyone was so occupied by telling how crappy Devry is that there wasn't even a cool story bro. So here it is.
I have never seen a cruel Refman post before. Follow his advice, and get your money back before you're 60k in the hole. Hell, I didn't even pay 60 for my state education. If you're for real GlenRice (and I have my doubts), I would get that refund ASAP, then ask companies that you're interested in working how much they value a deVry degree.
