I'm on my 4th Xbox now. Had the latest one for about 6 months and no problems (yet). Shoulda gone with the PS3--guess I'm stubborn.
Only if they include the Falcon chip that supposedly draws less power therefore, the hardware doesn't mess up like the earlier systems. I guess I'll go ahead and try this fix to see if it works.
Disagree with that one. I don't think 360 is anywhere near the system that the PS3 is. More popular and definitely overall category better, at least until somewhat recently, but not better. If we are going with that criteria, the Wii is the best system. 360 is a rip off. Thats great that you get it fixed sometimes in a short period of time, but lets not brag about it only being days and no charge. It should be free! How do you all not get that? Its like when Chris Rock joked about people taking credit for things they're supposed to do. Thats like bragging, "My girlfriend only cheats on me once in a while!" Would you make the same statement with the same degree of happiness? It is nice not having to worry about my system breaking and having to deal with the headache of getting fixed. The only game I would like to play on the 360 is Halo 3. Oh well, there are lot more games on the Sony side that I enjoy more. So you may enjoy one more than the other, but it is in no way a better system. Flavor Flav said it best.
I really don't mind having to send my 360 away for 5 days, it really doesnt affect me. Other than the 1 RROD I have gotten, it has worked pretty well. I havn't. I turned my PS3 on during Christmas, but before that, I hadn't even touched it since the previous year. I just don't like it. I play a lot of games online and xboxlive is much better than the PS3 system. I also really enjoy achievements, it makes the games much more re-playable. AS for the exclusive games. Resistance 1 is one of my all-time favorite games, but that is really the only PS exclusive I like. As for 360, I don't even like Halo, I think it is the most overrated game there is. However Left 4 Dead is probably my favorite game on the market right now, and Gears of War is another very good game. IMO, PS3 doesn't have any exclusives as good as those 2. I have also always hated the playstation controller. It just feels awkward to me. The 360 controller is far more comfortable to me. I simply see no advantages to the PS3 besides it seems to break down less often for most people. However, my PS3, on the rare occasions I play it, freezes very often and it gets extremely annoying.
FYI, Trophies have been available in most (major) PS3 games for a while now. I think all games developed in 2009 are required to have them too. I'm sorry if I asked this before, but... What PS3 games have you played? All I can remember you saying is R1 and GTA4 (which isn't even a PS3 exclusive). I'd be somewhat surprised if you played Uncharted, KZ2, R&C, Warhawk, R2, LBP, MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles, etc., and still think R1 is better than all of them (or the only good game of the bunch). And keep in mind that I also loved R1 (more than R2 and some of those games).

I've played R2, Warhawk, and MGS4. Warhawk was nothing special, R2 was a big letdown imo, and I really did not like MGS4, it was really boring imo. And PS3 may have trophies but it just isnt the same imo
You should probably give some of those other games a chance though (I'd put R1 over Warhawk and R2 as well, although others may disagree). In fact, as a PS3 owner (whether you like it or not), you pretty much have to buy Valkyria Chronicles, especially if it is priced at $30. I don't care whether you like the game, but I want Sega to know that it is OK to make a sequel...and bring over Yakuza 3. As for trophies, they seem pretty much the same as achievements to me (both make games more replayable), but I'll admit that I don't really pay attention to that stuff.
I say this as someone who is as far away as a fanboy as possible: I don't know how you 360 guys do it. I knock on wood and pray every day that my PS3 doesn't fail. The last thing I want is for a piece of hardware that expensive to break down on me, regardless of how little time and cost it takes to be fixed. If the PS3 had as high as a failure rate as the 360, I probably wouldn't have a new system right now.

Sorry for the delay. Been traveling to come home. Its nice. RC, I'm with you on the game selection. LBP, MGS4, Uncharted and the Ratchet games are awesome. Resistance 2 is solid though I haven't gotten around to playing a whole lot of KZ2 yet. Right now I've been putting time in getting the trophies for Dead Space. I've also been playing Buzz Quiz TV a good amount as well. I don't really get the trophies aren't the same argument. Most MS fanboys say its a complete ripoff of achievements and they're right. It can't be a complete ripoff and not the same. As it is, one of my buddies has turned into a trophy w****. He says you will be able to get things in Home with more, in time. On Warhawk, I don't know because I really like it. I'm not a huge fan of the game when you're not in a vehicle, but playing in a Warhawk is some of the most fun I've had in a game. The 360 is supposed to be better online, but little by little Sony has closed that gap. As for it freezing, I haven't seen that yet in the couple of years I've had it. Overall I think it is a better machine and finally has a more than solid lineup. Either way,the malfunction issues are a huge negative in the 360, I'm sure its solid otherwise, but not my choice and I'm not going to spend another couple of hundred to play one or two more games. The fact that people even know what "RROD" is is telling.
