Well, he didn't seem nearly as cocky after Duncan dismantled him in the first round of the playoffs. Expect more of the same if Spain and the US meet in the medal round.

Well, I think Spain is doable for Team USA. But there is one team that will kick Team USA's asses: Lithuania. Lithuania is by far the best team of the world, there should be no doubt. And also they are by far the worst matchup for Team USA.

    1. Lithuania plays an exceptional zone defense, which will cause real trouble for Team USA.

    2. Everybody on the lithuanian team can shoot the 3. Even their PFs and Centers can hit above 40% from beyond the arc.

    3. Lithuania is a team. They have several guys, who can explode and come up with 20+ points, hitting 4 or 5 from beyond the arc.

    4. In Eurelius Zukauskas they have a real big man, who can go one on one with Tim Duncan and co.

    5. Lithuania has the best offense and the best passers of the world.

    6. Sarunas Jasikevicius is a big NBA-caliber PG, who will cause much trouble.

I'll be surprised if Team USA will loose by a fewer margin than 10 points. If Lithuania plays like against the greek team, they will win by 20.

    GOLD: most probably Lithuania
SILVER: Spain, Puerto Rico or Argentina
BRONZE: Spain, Puerto Rico or Argentina, USA

I think Team USA will fly home after the Quarter Finals or at the latest after the Semi Finals.

Maybe I know what's that "something" you are talking about.
Something=Gasol is at least as good than the all-marketing heartless Yao Ming. The all-marketing-next-all-time-great-center-2 times-all-star-over-Shaquille O'Neal is not better than the less-publicited-no-all-star-skinny-spaniard Pau Gasol.
Add to that the fact Gasol has posterized Yao 5 o 6 times in their NBA careers and maybe you may know what about Pau Gasol ticks you off :D

By the way,the cooky Gasol has never bashed his teammates after Gasol.
Yao is humble in the NBA,but in the Chinese National Team he is an another McGrady that talks smacks about his own teammates.
The worst part of that was Yao bashed his teammtes after he was shooled by Pau Gasol and after a 6-8 Spaniard player rebound the ball play after play right in his face.

Whining about your teammates is worse than whining about the call, specially if you have sucked as bad as your teammates.

Hey moron...try knowing what you're talking about first. Yao didn't just bash his teammates, he bashed himself in that "tirade" - he was just as dissapointed in himself as he was in the rest of the team - that's why he kept saying "we gave up", we did this wrong or that wrong. Yao further recognized that he played a horrible game.

I think it will be between Lithuania and the USA for the title.

Dude, you really need to learn to read. Yao did not blame his teammates for playing poorly. He was the first one to admit that he himself has played a subpar game. He called out his teammates because a few of them quitted before the end of the 3rd quarter and did not follow the coach game plan. If it was the case, then he definitely had the right to bash the quitters. By the way, which Spaniard player rebound the ball play after play in Yao's face? May be we were not watching the same game because I did not see one. It was 'play after play' like you said, right? So how many rebounds did that 6-8 player grab? 30? or at least 20?
