It is the system but it is also Fosters Talent, Last year we played alot of games in comeback mode. Limited what Arian could do rushing the ball. If we had this Defense last year Arian would have got a lot more carries which equals more Yards and TDs

The system doesn't augment Arian's speed, patience, and agility.
Once he breaks past scrimmage, its all Arian all day.

Why is it that they can only feature one back? We're feasting now, but let's remember how near famine this team used to be not so long ago: 06 rb committee Dayne/Lundi/Gado. This is an excellent opportunity here to come up with a badass nickname for the ever-rare RB stud tandem. Marks Brothers, Earth Wind & Fire, Smash and Dash, Double Trouble, we should be celebrating here.

? A major aspect of the system to get guards to second level to create cutback lanes past the line of scrimmage for RBs when the defense is forced to over-commit at the point of attack.

So this thread is already a confirmed fail.

    Arian is something else.

Ben Tate had a big run before he got hurt. Would you rather pay Foster 8 mil or ben tate 500k for about 80-90% of the production.

Look at the last 20 or so superbowl teams only a couple had what I was call an elite RB. This is a passing league. Running backs don't bring you that much success.

Tate has yet to show the home run ability that Foster has. Foster's vision is on another level, perhaps why he is more likely to hit that home run. I pay Foster.

Tate is no where on the level that Foster is. Yea hes put up a couple a 100yd rushing games but we got no red zone production. Foster on the other hand makes it a lot easier for us to score in the red zone. The defense has to ALWAYS account for him thus making it easier for us to pass in the red zone just like how Owen Daniels was WIDE OPEN today for the first touchdown.

While, your right the league is a passing league, Schaub isn't the guy that can carry a team like Rodgers, Big Ben, Brees, Manning or Brady. Schaub falls much more in the E.Manning and Hasselback category...needs weapons around him and a good offensive line.

Foster is worth the 8 million and with Schaub, give me Foster over Tate even at a much heavier price. Nothing against Tate, if we had a better QB, I'd be all for Tate if we had to lose Foster.

I would pay Foster 8 mil.

Ben Tate wasn't giving 80-90% of Foster's production. Tate's longest run is 20 yards. Foster already has a 42 yard run and he had 20 plays of 20 yards or more (including receptions) last year.

Foster also knows how to get those extra yards to get that 1st down or TD.

i would pay him what cj or ap got. if we could afford it. he was patient and didnt hold out when he could have and no one would have blamed him. if i am an owner who had that type of loyalty, i would return the favor.
