bond, interesting questions you bring up.... I would take the scenario with Webber in it as I feel that would be a better overall team. Something to note, the only way to keep Olajuwon in the non-Webber scenario is if the Lakers accept a sign and trade of Walt Williams for Robert Horry b/c Jerome Williams should atleast command the league avg salary of 4.5 mil. Even then, considering Since75's post that Hakeem has been offered a 4 yr contract, I would not bank on him returning to Houston. I dont see the Rockets getting into some kind of bidding war with that kind of offer on the table. Here's what I think could be a realistic comparison of the scenarios (note I am going to use Loren Woods instead of Ken Johnson and assume that the Lakers will not do a sign and trade for Horry).

    Scenario A

    Woods/Collier/Cato
    Webber/KT
    Horry/Langhi/Williams
    Mobley
    Francis/Moochie

    Scenario B

    Woods/Collier/Cato
    Taylor/JYD/KT
    Horry/Langhi/Williams/Pick 22
    Mobley
    Francis/Moochie

Note: In Scenario A, pick 22 would have to be unloaded to create atleast a reasonable sum of money to sign Robert Horry. Getting rid of that pick would allow about 4 mil to me committed to Horry. He is currently making about 5 mil and could possibly take a small paycut to be with his family, etc, but I doubt he will take a lowball offer.
