we went to war ( we were told) because iraq was keeping WMDs against the which were not in complience the UN resolution.

We did not have support from the UN or the international community.

So we invade a country that had no connection with terrorists and find no WMDs.

The only reason, i can see, that people are not out-raged is that it's an arab country, and it's people are muslim. They look the same as the murders of 911.

We perpitrated a war of aggression going against the UN and the international community.

Bush should be put on trail for this war not re-elected.

Many Dems don't understand why Bush won. Ironically, that's exactly why they lost.

How true. But I'd be willing to be just as many Republicans don't understand why Bush won, either. :D

Seriously. That is the most depressing thing I've heard in the past four years.

Iraq was under UN sanctions and would not allow UN inspectors to fulfuill their duty. They were given multiple chances to do them. We went in based on that fact and since we were fighting a war on terror (not Al Queda specifically).

The UN would never have agreed to go in because we could not get France's hand out of Saddma's pocket (notably oil for food scheme).

As a Kerry supporter I think this statement is 100% correct. This party is at a crossroads right now and could be in serious trouble if we don't straighten out soon...

Since it seems we're all aboard with the "I won so I getta do whutever da hell I want" argument.

If the Democrats win in 08, I say we invade Australia.

    They have hot women.

tyring very here not to be partisan, ok we felt that iraq was not letting the inspectors do there job. ok that is an answer.

but the inspections had worked, no WMDs.

we have only caused more resentment in the middle east and accomplished nothing, but to create a haven for terrorists that they didn't have before.

Do you believe that we are better off?

    I do.

The Dems ran the wrong guy.

The bigger problem is that all but one of the Dems that ran in the primaries were the "wrong guys".

In retrospect, the only one IMHO who could have a solid chance of prevailing over Bush was John Edwards. He has all of the tools necessary to win a Presidential election these days....looks, hair, and the ability to connect to people. Neither Kerry, nore Gore in 2000, had this, and both of them lost in squeakers.
