Samuel dalembert is a good defensive Center..that can block shots and is a rim protector. Chuck hayes is a good defensive..PF that stepped in at center there shouldn't be a comparison to the two..wish we had chuck back...we could have our ibaka and perkins combo like with the thunder

chuck hayes is not a power forward, he's a six five center who doesn't have the mobility nor offense to play forward

Chuck played successfully as a PF for many years next to Yao. That's his natural position, defensively. That allowed him to cover more of the floor which he is uniquely good at due to his quick feet and feel for what the other team is running.

As for offense, he's just a garbage man who has some passing skills from the high post.

The reason people say he's a center is because there are basically no good offensive centers in the league anymore, and he needs to play PF with one that is.

Can you guys believe that we allegedly turned down the Iguadola trade because it had Dalembert's contract in it?

Imagine how good it would have been to have him around when Yao was out?

I remember Chuck doing a good job of guarding Artest when Ron was still in his prime in Sacremento -- so I think he has the mobility to guard PF's.

I also remember how he excelled at guarding nimble high scoring PF's like Aldridge and Garnet.

Offensively he was pretty bad so I'm not arguing that, but the guy is amazing at guarding power forwards, so your comment is pretty off base.

dalembert is legit - he's been playing great.

it's nice to see somebody in a rockets uniform actually block some shots...

    great pickup.

plus 14 against oklahoma city. you have to have size to battle them. you won't outscore them, you need that defensive presence

Not at all, but his play has been spotty of late. He started out like a house on fire but has really cooled off. Schedule is taking its toll.

Jordan Hill, a non-lottery first rounder, and Lowry for Iggy, Dally, and Williams.

    Williams / Lin / Flynn
    Martin / Lee / Dragic
    AI / Parsons / Budinger
    Scola / Patterson / Morris
    Dalembert / Hayes

We'd probably still have that Williams first rounder we gave up. Is there a thing as too much depth?

    The Charles Wagon is better.

We are learning why Dally only got 1 year guaranteed

You couldn't say what the team would look like, due to the butterfly effect.

Came to play against OKC last game. Being pummelled by Pekovic this game. This is why Dally is so frustrating.

He was bad against OKC, only showed up in 4th quarter and only a handful of games where he has helpedm why can't he be consistent ?
