If you don't see the connection that slavery has to black people making up a large portion of those living in poverty today then you don't know US history, which frankly isn't surprising. Yes, crime, especially violent crimes, happen more often in poorer communities for a number of socioeconomic reasons. White on white crime looks a little different at times https://www.nwahomepage.com/around-arkansas/mountain-home-woman-arrested-after-stabbing-son/
Basic message of this thread "Since blacks kill more blacks, it's ok for whites to kill some blacks too - and no one should complain about it!"
@pgabriel doesn't cherry pick crime like msnbc he's not going to be scared of all of those white kids in austin unless they are dressed up like call of duty warzone for non halloween events the authorities and his parents knew he threatened to shoot up a school. they should have done something about it. some of the hypocrites here claim they care about Black people but hate Dave Chappelle and DaBaby and Tupac @J.R.
i clicked on the story you posted cause i'm not some fake woke lunatic like the deb4 and the dobros on the board HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man with a cane who was killed by a group of teens behind a Walmart in north Houston, police say. @pgabriel cares about HOUSTON CRIME HOUSTON KIDS HOUSTON AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY HOUSTON ROCKETS He's Michael Jackson and you guys are the floor he moonwalks on @Os Trigonum
White violence is more family oriented exactly. That doesn't make it Okay. But it doesn't spread misery through a community It's not about poverty as much as its about fatherless homes.Black families were stronger 100 years ago
Doubtful. You couldn't even get federal anti-lynching laws passed back in 1922 with bipartisan support which speaks to the lack of support for the livelihood of black people in America back then that you're claiming was better than it is today for black families. https://www.loc.gov/collections/afr...ine-of-african-american-history/1901-to-1925/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyer_Anti-Lynching_Bill
Look at all the non black or fake black posters trying to tell what the Otis Thorpe of the D&D what to think @Os Trigonum @AroundTheWorld
This is common knowledge bro https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African-American_family_structure Don't know why you're talking about lynching
You said the lives of black people were better over 100 years ago. I did a quick Google search for legislation in 1922 and wouldn't you know legislation that made lynching a federal crime was blocked back then. It's like even among elected officials in Congress, the consideration of the livelihood and wellbeing of black people was barely even an afterthought. It kinda puts your claim that black people were better off 100 years ago into dispute, don't you think? As for why I brought it up, it's because you brought if up first with your claim. You link a Wikipedia discussing black people in America's family structure and then don't elaborate further on what you're trying to say. I get your general theme is black people need to take accountability for themselves and are chiefly responsible for the issues they face within their own community. Is that correct? If so, I disagree.
I don't think it's cool and neither does society. That was the point of my entire post you didn't understand accidently on purpose.
I believe PGabs wrote "Black families were stronger 100 years ago", not "the lives of black people were better over 100 years ago." I understood his point.
Yes. Great way of thinking. Don’t blame black on black crime on black people. Blame it on white people.
Having a good dad, who is present, is a huge thing. It all starts there. What is the % of black kids growing up without both parents in the house? Is that % also to be blamed on white people? I was also raised by a single mom, so I do understand first hand how that isn’t ideal. In fact, it’s a shame. I do get it though. Even a great mom has trouble making up for Dad’s absence.
