this story is very clear for anyone with a brain. this lady is stupid because she's obviously a little intolerant and clearly a nonchristian-phobe. however, the school is also stupid for doing these types of activities which take it much further than necessary for teaching. they can both be wrong and they are.
Too bad that ur mother who u said was so good didnt teach YOU to be tolerant and respect other people wishes and rights on how to grow their child. If anyone is rude and intolerant here is you who call everyone who disagree with your beliefs on how to grow a child, names. So everyone should want their children have henna just because you find it normal?
****ing strawmans. Half wits never will let go of them. No ****face. Stating that a parent should not have hissy fits if their daughter comes home with floral patterns from a plant extract drawn on their hands. How is that the same as going out of your way and desiring henna on your child. So many idiots here don't understand nuance. Here's how a parent who doesn't have a stick up their ass would handle the situation: 1. Daughter enters house with henna on hands 2. Mom sees henna floral patterns on hand of daughter 3. Mom comments: "oh how pretty sweetheart." 4. Mom remembers family photos are tommorow and tells daughter "oh honey, we have to get that off before tommorow". 5. Daughter respecting the mother's wishes because mother isn't an anal prissy obliges 6. Mother opens her laptop and launches Safari because she most likely has a macbook air. She types " How to remove henna quickly" as a search query on the search engine Google.com. Mother discovers that a lemon juice and baking soda paste that sits for 5 minutes will remove the henna. 7. She makes mixture and applies mixture to daughter's hand. 8. She lets it sit for 5 minutes and patterns have been mostly removed. 9. Daughter's hands are somewhat dry from mixture. Mother decides to apply lotion on daughter's hand. Mother and daughter are happy and on their merry way of living life. Or mother couldn't give two ****s that there are floral patterns on daughter's hand for Christmas photos and steps 1 through 3 can be followed without involving steps 4 through 9.
Anal pissy parent, ****face ,idiot..look whos having a hissy fit now and over a thread. Lmao Good upbringing you had.
My mother couldn't give two ****s if I use the term ****face on a BBS message board. She's more happy about my decorated service as a Marine and my 2 years left from graduating as a Mech E major from one of the top 20 public universities in the nation. Maybe your dedication to being irked by arbritary diction is what is making you not fully utilize your cognitive abilities thus resorting to logical fallacies...****face
Tats in many different cultures are seen as taboo or symbolized criminality. I don't know if they still ask it, but NBA players had to cover their tats up when playing in east Asian countries. There's ignorance on what a henna is, but you can't expect all parents to know every little thing. What's sadder is the lack of trust and involvement between how parents treat their school.
Henna is more akin to face paint or body paint that you witness in almost any school festival or 'field day' than 'tats'.
agree. 3rd degree burn at 2:45 <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/oZGut5I91Mg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
There is a reason it's called "henna tattoo" and not "face paint tattoo" or "body paint tattoo". You are reaching.
You're wrong. Henna can last 2-3 weeks while face paint, stickers, etc... won't even last one bath/shower. Also henna penetrates and stains the skin while stickers/face point don't. So yes, henna is closer to a tattoo than stickers. Don't let your bias and/or narrative cloud your logic.

Didn't know that tattoos can be taken off from a 5 minute process of placing a baking soda and lemon juice paste on the henna. And no, it doesn't perminantly stain the skin because dead skin cells eventually exfoliate leaving a new layer of skin cells on the outer most layer. Inked tattoos don't vanish when a new layer of skin cells are formed and the dead layer is exfoliated
You are hooked on such an arbritary word such as 'semi-permanent' Let's do basic math here. At worst henna will be on the skin for 2 weeks or whatever amount of time it takes for a new layer of skin to form. That 2 weeks is if there is no attempt at scrubbing henna off. Face paint will last a few days with no attempt at scrubbing off. A permanent tattoo from a tattoo parlor will last decades. Basic arithmetic states that 2 weeks is closer to a few days than 30 years hence henna is more akin to face paint than a tattoo.
for those of you who are really slow will dissolve in water over time: sugar cube << soap <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< X INFINITY diamond will wash away over time: face paint << henna <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< X INFINITY tattoo
Face paint can be washed off immediately, with just soap and water. Face paint does not look like a tattoo. A semi-permanent henna tattoo cannot be washed off immediately. It also looks similar to a tattoo. Hence, a semi-permanent henna tattoo is closer to a tattoo. Face paint has nothing to do with a tattoo, it does not even look similar to it.
