Rockets are mindless drones now with JVG.

JVG: You must obey my orders!
Rockets in unison with a monotone voice: yes, you are the all-knowing one

Yao needs to emulate KG. Take his game farther out from the paint area. The only guy in the NBA who can take 100% of his shot 5 feet from the basket is Shaq. Yao said before the draft he watched a lot of film of Sabonis. Sabonis and Divac were great passers out of the high post, but they also had good jumpshots with Sabonis having a great jumpshot. Yao has almost lost all of his finesse skills trying to brute his way into shots. There's a zero chance of him being successful in the NBA going that route.

Turning Steve into Charlie Ward was not a good idea, but turning Yao into Ewing is also not good.

How has T-Mac made big differences in magic's success? T-Mac never passed first-round either, never led Magic to more than 44 wins (Stevie has done twice) and, led Magic to a 19-win season?? Heck, KG could not lead T-Pups out of first round until they added Sprewell, SamCassel last year.

I would be the first one to say T-Mac is a better player than Francis, but we gave up too much in the trade. Morever, the problem of last year's Rockets is not SF. The problems were JVG's system and Yao's softness.

I just dun see why ppl is saying Tmac can win it all but Francis can't.... both players have yet to get out of first round......

lets see.... when Tmac and Francis supporting cast is hopeless in the 2000-2001 season..... Francis led Rockets to a 45-37 record in the West while sweeping one of the Eastern division..... Tmac led Magic to a 43-39 record in the EAST.....

superstar status is given to players which makes differences to their team..... Can we really put Tmac in that category as it is now??

that being said.... Tmac is no doubt a better player than Francis.... but as mentioned, we gave up too much in the trade and if we can't acquire proper pieces to fit in, we will be looking at a really ugly team......
