its hard to put entire team on your back when hes the only threat, he has no help, all his teammates play subpar lately or are striken with injuries
With the way the team has been playing hopefully this is the kick in the ass everybody needs to get their **** together. Harden won't be carrying us these next small chunk of games at least, and everybody will have to step up and quit playing like p*****s on D. Thank god we have another star PG to set everybody up while he's out.
yep in those past 5 losses, we can really only blame the Celts loss mostly to Harden for making his push off at Smart who had his arms wrapped around him way too obvious
Yeah it is all in his head and he is fat and lazy and parties and he is a fake superstar and not half as good as Curry or Clay Thompson etc.
Two things we would regret more than an extra couple of losses: 1. Paul coming back early to help Harden, and aggravating his injury as a result. 2. Harden coming back early to help Paul, and aggravating his injury as a result.
yep and MDA needs to trust Webber more. His offense may be bad but that's because he just barely started playing with this team but his defense is solid the rockets actually get to outscore the opponents when he's in the game. can't believe MDA didn't play Webber at all last game he could have given us a few stops and steals. and if Ryan's too scared to shoot, sit him right away and trust our other bigs tucker and black at least they bring defense, rebounds, and hustle
does anyone know why nene only got 6 minutes last nite (before being put in for rebounding on that FT at the end)? he was having probably his best game in weeks so made no sense to me at all
I agree, I think what gets lost is that yes, he can return after a few weeks and play but that's taking a huge risk. We saw what happened with Bev who pulled a hamstring in 2014 and still had issues with in in the 2016 playoffs because he was the "wolverine" - except he was not the same played after he pulled that hammy. I say with Paul we can still maintain a 2 or 3 seed pace and let Harden take 12 weeks to get fully well and be fully rested for a playoff run. Having a fresh Harden for once in the playoffs might do a lot for his rep as well. Screw the MVP and trying to win 60-some games. Is that the goal here?
Taking 3 months off for a pulled hammy (assuming that's what it is) is a very long recovery time. Guys in the NFL pull their hammys all the time and miss 3-4 weeks tops. I'm not saying iron man harden needs to play this January at all but he also doesn't need to dig out till 2 weeks before the playoffs start. This team, mainly cp3, needs to learn how to play with harden and gain that chemistry on both ends of the court. A fresh harden would be nice but he might be extreamly rusty if you just shelf him for 12 weeks and get him back right before the playoffs. But who are we kidding this guy will prob be playing Thursday and only miss one game.
2017 claimed one more hOuston athlete... Hamstrain can heal. I just hope they’d give him the space to recover because it can turn into knee, hip or back problems quick.
