This team is just not very good. Even when it wins you can see it's flaws. Hopefully they can pull off a trade or find some better pieces to put around T-MAc and Yao.

Looks like you're going to have to wait even longer.

When the team is "missing wide open shots" repeatedly it is the coach's fault, particularly in this organization. Van Gundy hand-picked the players. They run Van Gundy's scheme. The rotation is controlled by Van Gundy.

JVG: Mix in an offensive drill.

yeah i think coach is to blame partially...
they seriously need to practice shooting.
horrible. or improve it..i remember posey..he wasn't that good of a shooter..his field goal percentage was 29%..14 ppg ...like 6 rpg...but by the end of the season he significantly improved his shooting..assistant coach of rudy's helped him.

i don't know i just miss pike and people who could make shots. ward could but i mean he is just average in every other aspect..and everyone else is above average these days.

A slow game bores the players, making it hard to get into a shooting rythym. Players work too hard to get open shots so they tend to be tight when they shoot it. Plus low scores means frequently trailing behind, which adds pressure to the shooters. JVG also sent a message that defense is way bigger than offense when he started Ryan Bowen. Missing shots then get benched like Nachbar put much stress on shooter's mind, especially when Nachbar is the best three point shooter on the team.

When the shooting is in constant slump collectively, one needs to take a look at the coaching and the system. An indication is the shooting percentage of the players before they joined the Rockets, anyone care to do the work?

Basically, JVG is getting served back what he's dished out. JVG never respected offense and offense doesn't respect him either. That's the problem of the current Rockets.

I can't wait someone to give JVG a wakeup call or he's gonna get fired after this season if this mess called offense continues.

The bright side is Reece Gaines showing more confidence and a nice release on his jumpers in garbage time.

I agree..our players work too hard on offense..it should be simple. I don't know what's wrong..their shooting is horrrrible.
